yeah this year might not get to sub 10k yet

might need till 2009 we shall see

and who knows maybe i'm wrong and the intervention will work near term and we sky to new highs (which will be meaningless in nominal terms)

as for gold it will go down if markets get creamed

if markets hold up it will outperform as it has for the last 5 years, its credit/debt/dollar thrashing mania

as long as the game keeps getting played and it keeps us afloat gold will do just fine and outperform as it has for years
