Hitman, are you in that emerging markets etf EEM? I remember reading you posting about it a few months ago, but did you actually buy it?

Those types of stocks are going to get hammered more than anything else.

Tremendous of leverage being used by hedge funds and major banks, so like Tiznow posts, unfortunately everything is going to get blasted.

Alot of leverage has been used to buy various commodity investments.

I still think that during a banking panic and/or intermediate/long term financial collapse gold will gain or at least maintain relative value.

y the physical itself will be fine DAW, well i think

and if we see 400-500 gold anytime soon i'll be buying more most likely

the miners is what i've been speaking out against as when the house of cards collapses everything gets mauled on the equity side of the equation

Unfortunately, I still believe we in the United States are soon going to have to endure another economic depression.

absolutely I agree with that too. And it is upon us. It's going to be a very difficult next few years for Americans, and if the energy crisis I think is coming hits at the same time. WOW.

time to start wrapping shit up and making some trips down south

i've said many times i don't know what the ultimate end game is and deflation COULD be the answer...

the only real answer i know is market equities are heading lower regardless of inflation or deflation

geesh

tiz, we've been over this. deflation is a decrease in the supply of money. do you see that happening?

daw - the INTC order is in place at $17.05 - I will wager with you $100 it does not fill tommorow.

I would rather have at least some of my money in large cap dividend paying US stocks I've bought in a correction than sitting in cash

its not just money

its commodity, home, whatever demand/supply as well

plus money is burning as we speak as global markets get routed

bag holders have 500k on paper in such and such mutual fund

tomorrow it will go to 400k if we drop 10%

Scientists just completed a study which linked too much doom-gloom to tumors.

The research showed perma-bears were five times more likely to get cancer than their shiny optimistic perma-bull counterparts.

Meh, maybe the S&P could drop like that, but I'm just saying it will take an act of God to get the DJIA below 7000

The dow jones is only 30 stocks.....the s/p 500 and/or nasdaq falling 50% is much more important than what the dow does.

To even think the dow jones is a useful index for overall stock market strength/weakness is ridiculous.

Tiznow, I will post my trade for tomorrow in here for ya in the morning.

Tuesday should be a very exciting day.

If market completely falls apart this week, Bernanke may as well step down as the world will have no confidence in him.

He was in a tough situation following the footsteps of Easy Al.

Humpty Dumpty is off the wall and I just dont think they can put him back together this time without first having to go through a severe economic downturn.

NO FUCKING SHIT. I really hate when people come in late in the conversation and insult people. The guy said the DOW will drop to below 7000. I was refuting him, and that's how we got started talking about the DJIA. But whatever, guy, say whatever you want.
