wtg AG dont worry bout the rough week it happens.dont feel bad either look at the last thing you said ytd +units.thats the bottom line in capping.i know your more about the sport then the units but you do both well and the loyal ones will continue to not only ride you but learn from you as well.funny thing i was reading your posts and some other things and i actually felt this game would go over.my thinking was with san jose they would put up 60+ just didnt know l.a was going to put up 70 haha.my guess was 62-44 or what not.we will get em back next week.:103631605

Forgot about our Grand Salami, which sailed over 783... don't know off hand what it ended at, but it was an insanely high number... considering we reset the highest scoring game of the year three times this week, that was pretty easy. For record purposes, I'm keeping the G.S. with totals, since it is a mere composite total. Update records.... (+2.86 units for the GS)

Sides Record: 6-5 (+4.73 units)
Totals Record: 9-3 (+12.31 units)
Parlays: 1-2 (+0.55 units)
2nd half: 2-3 (-1.87 units)
Teasers: 0-1 (-3 units)
Props: 0-1 (-1 unit)

Composite Record

YTD: 18-15
Net: +11.72 units

Recap for the week....

Orlando at Dallas under 98.5 W (+2.86 units)
Chicago (-13.5) @ Columbus L (-2 units)
New York vs. Nashville over 100.5 W (+1.9 units)
New York vs. Nashville under 51 2nd half W (+1.43 units)
Chicago -3 w/ SJ -1 L (-3 units)
Colorado @ Arizona under 52 2nd half L (-3 units)
New Orleans vs. Philly over 101 W (+2.86 units)
San Jose -8 @ Los Angeles L (-4 units)
Georgia @ Las Vegas over 93 L (-2.5 units)
Prop bet, 2-pt or safety L (-1 unit)
San Jose -6.5 @ LA 2nd half W (+2.70 units)
Grand Salami over 783 W (+2.86 units)

Record: 6-6... not as bad as before, but still too much stuff
Net: -0.89 units

All that being said, we caught some bad breaks and some good breaks. But for a week I consider myself outdone by the books and the traps, I think I managed alright staying basically at the juice line for the week. We'll get back to work tomorrow with the new lines in hopes that we get back into the black next week. Oh yeah, just for the record, my season goal for the AFL, including futures and playoffs is now 50 units. I think it's a fair assessment since we're on pace for approximately 47 units for the regular season, which doesn't include basically one week of playoffs (7 games in all) and the futures (which are looking generally okay, see previous post). If we net 40 in the regular season, we'll probably get there. Last Arena Bowl alone I won 12 units with prop bets that were insanely easy... Not expecting as much success in the Arena Bowl, nor am I expecting to keep this trend of 9-2 against the opening line up, but if I can have 8 solid weeks and 1 outstanding week in the last 14 (meaning 4 losing weeks and probably 1 really lousy week where nothing goes right), we'll meet the goal. Just figure I'd keep you all up to date where I stand. I won't be giving any 10 unit plays, nor will I be giving any 50 or 100 unit plays, thus it isn't my goal to win whatever 340 units or whatever it was Budworth apparently "capped" his way into this week. Gonna keep with the same old system of money management and conservative plays, hopefully scaling back as the season goes on, and just keep plugging away at the man's wallet. 10K not a 100 meter. We all know that by now though...

Off to class... more coming later and tomorrow.

Eh, forget San Jose... I'm gonna grow to hate this team later on in the season... I know when they're gonna break the cover streak and the losing streak... At Orlando in 2 weeks when I'm at the game. Wagner's gonna go nuts that day. Like 5 TDs and 2 picks nuts. He's Barry Wagner... he does that sh^t... I think I'm just going to damn the whole Western Division. Throw them out and I'm unbeatable this season... lol... Too bad I can't do that... Eh it doesn't matter anyway... only half of my losses are from that division, but I've got a comparable number of wins. It was worth a shot. Just for the record, I'm going to become a very interesting onlooker of this "Master Riggs" dude. His arrogence reminds me of someone specific on covers who said they hit at 72% in college football and when documented hit at 49%, which obviously concerns me. However, if this "system" of his is as unbeatable as he makes it sound (hard to believe but not impossible), he's worth keeping an eye on. I hit 68% last year, so it's not impossible to hit such a lofty number as he is. And to hit 69% in the NBA is nuts. Another number I don't believe. Tatehill is the best NBA capper I've ever seen and he's hitting at a great theoretical percentage, but not even a 60% ATS mark.

Anyway, just my two cents... Oh, and one other thing... anyone who won't answer questions because he doesn't have time to, probably doesn't know anything about the game nor cap it at all, simply plugs numbers into their system... I did that this week too and made 2 big mistakes, which I proclaimed as mistakes when I bet them... both of those trap door games. But my system, which is what I use to make the initial plays is 9-2 against the opening line and 7-3-1 against the closing line. You can be the judge of what that all means. Systems are meant to work well, but sometimes, you've gotta know when you've been beaten. San Jose was a perfect example of a game that foresight would have prevented.

Anyway... best as always...

Last couple weeks they've come out at some point between about noon and 2:00 EST. I don't get back from class tomorrow until 1:00, so you won't see anything here before 1:30 or 2:00 at the earliest.

Hey Guru -

Hey how'd you like my post? Whenever I come to a new site, I always want to find out who the village IDIOTS are. Posting the way I did saves me alot of time reading posts I have no time for.

As tacky as as tried to be, YOU were able to keep you're head all the while. How you were able to do that is behond me! You see, this is YOU'RE site and YOU dominate this area of the AFL. As you probably already know, I was going after YOU for a reaction, and to find out who the monkey's were. And while doing so, I found out what I already knew. You are nothing short of a CLASS ACT!!! I even got 'The General moderator' to eat some cat food!

Listen, I love what you do, and I'm excited to find a site that has such an interest in the AFL like I do. I wasn't kidding about my 8-0 last week, but I was way off base with the whole 81% thing like you already know. lol....I would love to see you and I do a little FRIENDLY compitition thing later on as the season starts to even out. In the mean time, I hope I can bring something to YOUR AFL threads that represent the class you exude. Hey you'll love my NBA totals so keep an eye out for em okay? Anyway, got to run, but B-4 I go, thanks in advance for letting me in YOUR world, and I look forward to talking this great game(the AFL)with you!

A head scratcher no doubt, but it beats the alternative that could take place. As long as we are getting winners, it's all good I guess.....

Certainly not what I expected to see when I got back from class this morning (11:30 class got cancelled, so I'll be here right on the opening lines... yahoo for class cancellation).

Riggs, you caught me at a great time to keep a level head... My competitive side is tired after petty squabbles with some Texas Tosta dude and BrownsFan... at least when I was arguing with Luke, we both knew it was in the goodness of the rivalry, though others who are on the outside of the rivalry looking in thought otherwise.

In terms of a competition? I don't believe in that BS on these boards. These boards are for winners. Ace made a great comment to me at some point... went something like this... There are plenty of ways to become a winner, and sometimes to be a winner, you've gotta accept being a loser first.

That being said, I don't care if you do hit 68% ATS or whatever, as long as I end up in black numbers as well. I'd really prefer not going heads up with anyone on this board, though it seems when I do that I end up taking the spoils... something I'm happy for on my own account, but not happy for in terms of the board. I always root for the middle at that point. I want to see winners on this board like all of the coattailers do and like you should as well. For what I gamble, it's petty cash to 95% of the people on here. So for the most part, this is all about beating the books and showing you all how to do it.

Better idea than competing with each other? What about sharing your power system with me and I share my formula components with you. I don't know how long you've been around the game, but even at the ripe old age of 19, I've been around the game longer than a ton of AFL fans have and know what to look for in terms of a winning team that stats sometimes can't explain. Email address should be stored in one of Ace's threads if you can find it. Eh, I'll save you the time...

P.S. I'm with you, Roxy... makes no sense in the world what that was all about
