MLB | Rockies vs Reds
Play on: Rockies +113 at 5Dimes

I'm recommending a play on the Rockies with Senzatela over Adleman. Bud Black is an early candidate for NL Manager of the Year as he has the Rockies winning at home and on the road, which historically has not often been the case. Colorado won 12-6 on Friday to improve to 14-6 away from home while Cincinnati lost its seventh in a row. The Rockies have won seven of Antonio Senzatela's eight starts, including 9-6 against the Dodgers on Sunday when the right-hander didn't have his best stuff, but was able to get through five innings to get the win. Senzatela has a 2.50 ERA in 18 innings on the road with opponents batting just .234 against him. Tim Adleman will make his fourth start of the year after lasting only one inning his last time out due to a neck injury. Adleman is 2-2 with a 5.27 ERA after allowing four runs (three earned) in that one inning against the Giants. We're recommending a play on the Rockies on Saturday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.

Soccer | Saint-tienne vs ASNL
Play on: Saint-tienne +270 at Bovada

Saint Etienne +270

This match takes place at 3pm Saturday in France's League One. The visitors are an average team sitting #8 of the 20 teams in the table. The home team is last of the 20 teams at 8-21-8 (-25 goals). I like the value on the visitors.

MLB | Rangers vs Tigers
Play on: Rangers +145 at betonline

Play - Texas Rangers w/Griffin vs Verlander (Game 925).

Edges - Rangers: Griffin 6-0 team starts this season; and 8-1 last nine May team starts, including 5-0 the last five; and 2-0 last two starts in this park… Tigers: Verlander 0-3 last three home team starts in this series… With Griffin sporting a 1.38 ERA and a 0.73 WHIP away, as opposed to an 8.64 ERA and 1.92 WHIP at home this season, we recommend a 1* play on Texas. Thank you and good luck as always.

MLB | Diamondbacks vs Padres
Play on: Diamondbacks -111 at GTBets

Bonus Play on Diamondbacks -111

Arizona is 25-11 against the money line vs. a bad bullpen that blows 38% or more of their save opportunities over the last 2 seasons, they are also 13-4 against the money line in road games vs. NL teams scoring 4 or less runs/game on the season over the last 2 seasons. Bonus Play on Diamondbacks

NHL | Predators vs Ducks
Play on: OVER 5 -130

This is a 1* Bonus Play on the OVER between the Predators/Ducks.

This has been a very even series and it enters Game 5 all knotted up at two games apiece. Every game has been decided by a single goal except for the Ducks’ 5-3 win in Game 2. Two have gone to overtime. So far the O/U is 1-1-2. We think the overall situation lends itself to a higher-scoring affair in Game 5 though. The Predators looked pretty inept for most of Game 4 except for the final eight minutes. Clearly they’ll be out to set the tone early tonight. The Ducks haven’t been great defensively in the playoffs, but they’ve been exceptional on the offensive end, ranked No. 1 overall. Also note that Nashville has seen the total go OVER the number in 11 of 16 this year in trying to revenge a home loss against an opponent, while Anaheim has seen the total go OVER the number in 14 of 24 home games when the total is set at 5 or less. We’re recommending a play on the OVER in Game 5, but what do you think? Shootout or goaltenders battle?

Saturday's six-pack

— Rory McIlroy has back/rib injuries, has pulled out of the BMW tourney next week. His status for the US Open is up in the air.

— Cavaliers 130, Celtics 86— Cleveland led 72-31 at the half— 72-31!!!!

— Nationals, Twins are only teams with an extra base hit in every game this season.

— RIP Wayne Walker, a LB for the Lions who also their punter, then later a good announcer on TV. There was a time when punters played other positions; Walker was a very good LB.

— NASCAR driver Alric Almirola is out 8-12 weeks with a broken vertebrae after his scary accident at Bristol Motor Speedway.

— Jason deGrom pitched seven innings last nite, the first time in 18 games a Mets’ starting pitcher got an out after the sixth inning.

Bad bullpens have made these sensational MLB starting pitchers "5-inning only" bets

There's nothing worse than banking on a solid outing from a starter, and getting it - only to see your moneyline bet fall through because the guy's bullpen had a meltdown. Most baseball bettors would rather get food poisoning than suffer this kind of fate.

While the majority of bullpens are better than they've ever been before, you'll still see an occasional lead blown because none of the team's relievers can get anybody out. But hey, that's what first five-inning lines are for, right?

Here are four pitchers whose five-inning performances have been much stronger than their overall records, making them solid short-game bets:

RHP Matt Andriese, Tampa Bay Rays
Overall record: 3-1, 4 no-decisions
5-inning record: 7-1

That Andriese isn't even the only Tampa Bay pitcher on the list speaks to the frustrating ineptitude of the Rays' bullpen, which has allowed 98 runs from the sixth inning onward — second-most in the majors. Despite this, Andriese has had a terrific season so far, limiting opponents to a .237 batting average while averaging nearly a strikeout per inning through eight starts.

The Rays led after the fifth inning in each of Andriese's first four starts, but he came away with just one victory to show for it. He took his only loss of the season against the Blue Jays on April 29, then answered with three straight five-inning victories, picking up a pair of actual wins over that span. If the Tampa Bay bullpen were even modestly better, he would have 5-plus wins at this point.

RHP Chris Archer, Tampa Bay Rays
Overall record: 3-2, 4 no-decisions
5-inning record: 6-2-1

Archer has been just as sharp as Andriese in the early going, ranking in the Top 5 league-wide in strikeouts while limiting foes to a .225 batting average. Yet, he finds himself with just three wins on the season and, despite struggling for the majority of the past month, he should also have five or more victories by this point.

His most frustrating no-decision game in a rematch with the Blue Jays on May 5, in which he allowed a game-tying home run to Kendrys Morales in the seventh inning before watching the Rays bullpen surrender five runs in the eighth. It has been that kind of year for Tampa Bay's beleaguered relief corps, which enters Friday having thrown the fourth-most innings in baseball.

RHP Andrew Cashner, Texas Rangers
Overall record: 1-3, 3 no-decisions
5-inning record: 4-2-1

Cashner is enjoying somewhat of a renaissance after struggling for most of the 2015 and 2016 seasons. But you wouldn't know it by looking at his record, with his only victory coming last time out against the Philadelphia Phillies. That said, Cashner has been one of the strongest five-inning plays in baseball, made even stronger by the fact he has been an underdog in five of seven starts.

The Texas bullpen is partly to blame for Cashner's win drought — it has allowed the third-most runs after the fifth inning so far in 2017. The once-vaunted offense is also culpable, having scored a total of seven runs over Cashner's first five starts, resulting in a 0-3 record despite a 2.63 ERA in that stretch. With 14 runs in his last two starts, perhaps the support will stick around.

RHP Luis Perdomo, San Diego Padres
Overall record: 0-0, 6 no-decisions
5-inning record: 3-1-2

Perdomo hasn't exactly lit the world on fire through six starts, boasting a 4.19 ERA while topping out at six innings. But he deserves a much better fate than six consecutive no-decisions to open the season, and is still looking for his first win of the season thanks at least in part to a Padres bullpen that has allowed a whopping 100 runs after the fifth inning — the most of any team in the majors.

Perdomo has found himself trailing after five innings in just one of his first half-dozen appearances, with three leads in that span. You'll likely continue to get great five-inning odds on him thanks to the Padres' overall futility, but they have the kind of lineup that can jump out to a nice early lead. They just can't keep the opponent from coming back to win. At least, not yet.

Saturday's NBA Western Conference Finals Game 3 Betting Preview: Warriors at Spurs

Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry were both named to the All-NBA second team on Thursday while forward Draymond Green was a third-team selection.

Golden State Warriors at San Antonio Spurs (+6, 212.5)

Warriors lead series 2-0

The Golden State Warriors have yet to lose in the postseason and certainly didn't look like a team that was on the verge of taking its first "L" while blasting the San Antonio Spurs in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals on Tuesday. The Spurs had a few days off to get healthy and try to put the 136-100 thrashing behind them and will get the chance to play host when the series shifts to San Antonio for Game 3 on Saturday.

The Spurs watched Game 1 turn when superstar small forward Kawhi Leonard went down with an ankle injury and are hoping he can return to the lineup for Game 3, though a change in attitude is necessary whether or not Leonard is on the floor. "I don't think they believed," San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich told reporters after watching his team get crushed in Game 2. "And you have to believe. I don't think as a group they really did, which means probably a little bit feeling sorry for themselves psychologically, subconsciously, whatever psycho-babble word you want to use. … That was disappointing." The Warriors are feeling pretty good about themselves after shooting 56.2 percent from the floor in Game 2 while holding the Spurs to 37 percent. "We just came out and played our game," Golden State forward Kevin Durant told reporters. "We moved the ball. Everybody touched it and felt good about themselves, and that generated some good looks."

TV: 9 p.m. ET, ESPN

LINE HISTORY: The Warriors opened as 6.5-point road chalk against heading into Game 3 in San Antonio and that line has been bet down to an even 6. The total hitting the betting board at 212 and has yet to move off the opening number.

WHAT SHARPS SAY: "The San Antonio Spurs learned to adjust without Kawhi Leonard in their Game Six rout over Houston in they year’s playoffs. However, they’ve looked lost without him in this series, having been outscored by 59 points since he left the floor and failed to return in Game One. Compounding the problem has been LaMarcus Aldridge’s disappearance on the floor (one field goal in the first half of Tuesday’s rout). After being hogtied and embarrassed, expect a concerted effort from the Spurs tonight." - Marc Lawrence

INJURY REPORT:

Warriors - SG Andre Iguodala (Questionable, knee), C Zaza Pachulia (Questionable, heel), PF Draymond Green (Questionable, back), SF Kevon Looney (Out Indefinitely, hip)

Spurs - SF Kawhi Leonard (Questionable, ankle), PG Tony Parker (Out For Season, quadricep).

ABOUT THE SPURS (69-27 SU, 49-45-2 ATS, 54-40-2 O/U): Leonard is the only player in the series to make the All-NBA first team but sat out two of the last three playoff games due to left ankle issues and did not do any on-court work while reporters were at the San Antonio practice facility on Thursday. If Leonard is limited or unable to go, the Spurs will need more from LaMarcus Aldridge, who managed eight points on 4-of-11 shooting in Game 2. "LaMarcus has to score for us," Popovich told reporters. "He can't be timid. He turned down shots in the first quarter. He can't do it. You've got to score. Scoring has to come from some place."

ABOUT THE WARRIORS (77-15 SU, 46-43-3 ATS, 39-53-0 O/U): Durant and point guard Stephen Curry were both named to the All-NBA second team on Thursday while forward Draymond Green was a third-team selection. All-Star shooting guard Klay Thompson was left off the All-NBA teams and is one of the few Golden State players struggling in the postseason while averaging 14.6 points on 38.8 percent shooting - down from 22.3 points on 46.8 percent shooting in the regular season. "When you look around, what did we win? Sixty-seven games or something like that? And we probably just handed teams three or four," Green told reporters when asked about Thompson missing out on an All-NBA team. "You're talking a possible 70-win season. I think Klay is one of our top three guys, and to not be on an All-NBA team, I think it's pretty crazy."

TRENDS:

* Over is 7-1 in Spurs last eight games following a ATS loss.
* Over is 13-3 in Spurs last 16 overall.
* Over is 5-1 in Warriors last six games following a ATS win.
* Spurs are 1-4 ATS in their last five vs. NBA Pacific.
* Warriors are 9-0 ATS in their last nine road games.

CONSENSUS: 56 percent of users are taking the road favorite Warriors and 70 percent are on the Over.

Saturday’s Stanley Cup Playoffs betting preview: Predators at Ducks

Filip Forsberg was labeled "Mr. Clutch" by teammate Harry Zolnierczyk and it's hard to argue after the forward again came through by scoring the tying goal with 34.5 seconds in Game 4 to force overtime.

Nashville Predators at Anaheim Ducks (-115, 5)

Series tied 2-2

Having handed the Nashville Predators their first home defeat of the postseason, the Anaheim Ducks return to Honda Center to host Game 5 of the Western Conference final on Saturday night. Anaheim's dramatic overtime victory in Thursday's Game 4 ended Nashville's 10-game home winning streak and turned the series into a best-of-3.

The winning goal by Corey Perry came as the result of a fluke deflection, preventing a potentially crushing defeat for the Ducks, who blew a two-goal lead in the final 6 1/2 minutes of regulation. “The last three or four years, we’ve obviously gone through a lot,” Anaheim goalie John Gibson said. “More downs in the playoffs than ups. I think we just learned from that and I think now we have a sense of calmness. And we have the ability to always regroup, whether we’re up or we’re down or something bad happens." While the Ducks reclaimed home ice with the 3-2 overtime win, Nashville won the series opener at Honda Center and posted three wins at Anaheim in last year's first-round playoff matching, including a winner-takes-all Game 7. “It’s an open series," Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne said. "It’s 2-2, but we have a lot of confidence. I don’t think we need to change a lot of things going into Game 5."

TV: 7:15 p.m. ET NBC, CBC, TVAS

LINE HISTORY: The Ducks opened as -111 home favorites for Game 5 and by Friday evening that money line was up to -116. The total hit the betting board at 5 and has yet to move off the opening number.

INJURY REPORT:

Predators - C Mike Fisher (Questionable, eye), RW Craig Smith (Questionable, undisclosed), LW Kevin Fiala (Out For Season, leg).

Ducks - C Rickard Rakell (Questionable, undisclosed), RW Logan Shaw (Out indefinitely, lower body), RW Patrick Eaves (Out indefinitely, lower body), D Simon Despres (Out indefinitely, concussion)

ABOUT THE PREDATORS (51-32-9-4, 43-41 O/U): Filip Forsberg was labeled "Mr. Clutch" by teammate Harry Zolnierczyk and it's hard to argue after the standout forward again came through by scoring the tying goal with 34.5 seconds in Game 4 to force overtime. Forsberg, who registered two goals and two assists over 14 games in the 2016 playoffs, also netted the tying tally in Game 3 against Anaheim. A 31-goal scorer during the regular season, Forsberg set a franchise single-season mark with his seventh goal of the postseason and is the first player in seven years to score in each of the first four games of a conference final.

ABOUT THE DUCKS (56-27-11-3, 35-40 O/U): Corey Perry offered a simple assessment after scoring Anaheim's only goal on a bad-angle shot in Game 3, basically telling reporters you can't score if you don't shoot, and he reinforced that point with the decisive tally Thursday. Perry threw a shot at the net from the right point that deflected off the stick of Predators defenseman P.K. Subban and past Rinne to give the Ducks new life. “I’ll take it,” Perry said. "I was trying to create traffic or create a bounce and create havoc in front. And that’s what they say in overtime. Throw it on net, you never know what can happen.”

TRENDS:

* Predators are 5-1 in their last six road games vs. a team with a home winning percent of greater than .600.
* Under is 10-2-4 in Predators last 16 when their opponent allows 2 goals or less in their previous game.
* Under is 5-1-3 in Predators last nine vs. Western Conference.
* Over is 5-1-2 in Ducks last eight Conference Finals games.

CONSENSUS: 69 percent of users are siding with the home chalk Ducks on the moneyline and 59 percent are on the Over.
