I'm more of a standing rib roast kinda guy.

Grew up on a farm so it comes as no surprise but I would not give interviews with a slaughter going on in the background.

Agree. Was in very poor taste, her choice to have that going on in the background.

Personally, I'm a BBQ brisket kinda guy.

The fact is, the treatment of farm animals in this country is an outrage. Anyone who has witnessed what goes on in the slaughterhouses and rendering plants would at least consider becoming a vegetarian.

And yes, I am one, and won't be having turkey for Thanksgiving or any other time. But even if you're not one, you can do alot for yourself, the planet, and the animals by reducing your meat intake.

Have you ever read "Mad Cowboy". It's f'n horrifying. I tried like hell to become a vegetarian but I finally came to the conclusion that my love for rib-eye's is stronger than my hatred for the means in which that rib-eye made it to my plate.

Cattles contribute to global warming!

"cows, are the UK’s largest source of methane - a greenhouse gas, more potent than carbon dioxide"

http://www.clipp.org/news/content/325.php

"Cattle contribute an estimated 29 percent of the total volume of methane emitted within national territory, whether through internal fermentation in the digestive process or through defecation"

http://www.tierramerica.net/2000/1126/acent.html

"The livestock sector emerges as one of the top two or three most significant contributors to the most serious environmental problems, at every scale from local to global."

http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/GlobalWarming/story?id=2723201&page=1

Alright, dont take me too serious here just thought that was kind of funny.

Are you saying that meat eaters are a weak undisciplined and uncontrollable herd and that the hungry ravenous numbers of their population should overwhelm the logic of concern for how and why farm animals exist? Good post Mamatried.
