I dunno 1st chicken i ever saw getting offed was at the hand of my grandma. She lopped its head off with an ax and its remainder went running around throwing blood everywhere.

I remember seeing this early, also. What you do is tie one of the chicken's legs to a tree or any stable object. Then chop off it's head and it won't go far. Yea, it will flop around for about a minute, but no pain I'm sure. It is probably just the nervous system makeup.

most of the meat i eat is organic that comes from local family farms in iowa

that i want to put natural stuff in my body?

so i pay a premium for something i was able to get at any grocery store 50 years ago

so be it

plus i like to shop local regardless

spending money supporting local businesses makes the locale you live in a better place to live for everyone around you keeping the money and profits exchanging hands locally

i'd rather support the local co-op grocery store as well as local farmers

than support walmart and tyson

its a free country choose what you wanna do with your money that is fine

but at least put a little thought into it besides what's cheapest
