True but they do that in football too. He coached some of the greatest players of all time though. Shaq, Jordan, Kobe, that entire Bulls team had players. Lakers had clutch shot makers. With the Spurs you can't even explain their success. It starts and ends with the coach. Tim Duncan was great but is no Shaq and Kobe. Only coach that compares to Popovich in all of sports today is Belichick

Totally agree...Phil is the most over rated coach in history. Had some of the greatest players in history. Probably a couple of hundred coaches would have had similar results with that talent. The one thing I will credit him with...he didnt get in the way of them winning....see Bobby Cox in baseball.
