neither glenn or gay will be starters. Porter won the job.
Craft and David are both gone.

McKenzie
Porter
Young
Gay
Glenn is the depth chart.

I think its going to be much better then last season.

We also had no pass rush last year which also hurt our coverage.

With the addition of McCray and Ellis we should help the secondary out a lot by putting more pressure on the passer.

Look across conferences, other than the jailtime, what is different between this team and Cincinnati (besides NO having a much better DL and the Bengals having a better WR corps)? Why does everyone like this team so much? They can't stop anyone through the air.

Drew Brees is much > than Carson Palmer at this point. Saints have home field adv indoors on fast surface, Bengals are hurt by bad weather. Bengals have better WR corps, but Sean Payton is a far better play-caller than Bratkowski

A. I bet over the win total on the saints in two or three different spots.

B. Drew Breese is my fantasy QB and I did not draft a backup

C. UR FUCKED.

Ill get slaughtered for this but i think the Saints have a top 5 recieving corps this year.
3 possession recievers in Colston, david patten and lance moore..all 3 of these guys catch the ball as good as anybody...
Speed recievers in Meachem and Arrington ... 3 way battle between copper, henderson and skylar green for the 6th spot with copper getting it, green going on some list and henderson hitting the road..
Then the wild card everyone seems to be forgetting...maybe the best all-around in the league......yea i said it...Reggie Bush...
We also now have at least 2 tight ends who can catch........Saints are not hurting at reciever..

I agree with the top 5 thing, just need to get you caught up on the depth chart.

Arrington is going on the IR next week. Henderson is the love child of Peyton and not going anywhere.

Its

Colston
Patton
Henderson
Meachem
Moore
Copper

Right now Henderson is listed as the 3, but I expect Meachem to take that spot by week 3.

What no one has mentioned is that Mehlaff was rated the top kicker in the draft and that may mean trouble for Gramatica....

Gramatica is terrible, Mehlhaff should win the job from him.

What is intriguing is how many kickers are great in college and then for one reason or another, just don't make it in the pros. There are only two changes (kickoffs are five yards farther back and you don't kick from the hashmarks), yet so many very good college kickers don't make it. For example, Connor Hughes, Damon Duval, and it looks like Brandon Coutu will be joining that list.

Thats 1 reason they still have both in camp....Melhaff's kickoffs go into the end zone in practice everytime but in the game they go to the 10-5, etc...not much better than gramatica who they have confidence in...

The NFL ball is much different then a college ball. And not be a little either. Huge difference.

The hash marks are even wider in college then the pros, making it harder.
I would say its harder to be a college kicker then a pro kicker.

Saints Coach Sean Payton called an audible, saying he probably won't play quarterback Drew Brees in Thursday's preseason finale against Miami.

Brunel has looked great so far...really good. If the line reflects Brees being out there may be some value there..

Wish I coulda bet this at -2000. Woulda been easy money.

This has been a real frustrating season to say the least.

I would rather the Saints suck then lose so many games the way they did last night.

Im sure most of you saw the saints for the first time all season last night.

Well the other 2 loses where just as heartbreaking.

They really should be 5-0 right now.

Blow a 9 point lead to Washington with 6mins.

Horriable refs in Denver + another missed FG with less then 2 mins.

And last nights game.

Its not homerism to say the Saints should be 5-0 right now.

It just makes me sick.

Taylor Melhelff is in N.O right now. Unless he totally screws up in practice today he will be the kicker come Sunday.

Chop....you think that you might put a little blame on their horrible defense? All teams have could haves, should haves,......but in the end a loss is a loss...

Saints defense is improved 100% over last season. Ask Adrian Peterson.

15 carrys for 29 yards. Worst game of his entire career.

Gave up 1 TD to tampa, and Denver could not do anything unless they were given FP on the + side of the field.

The only play washington made the entire day was the bomb at the end of the game to Moss.

No I dont blame the defense at all. This is the best defense in N.O in at least 7 years.

I can absolutly promise you for a 100% certainty.
Our drafted rookie kicker is on a plane right this second and will be in N.O AM practice.

I heard this from someone VERY close to the team.

And yes its curtains for the Saints unless they play MM and USAMA Young full-time, and only let JD play in dime packages.
