Shdw1, this years Bash like all of the previous will be in Las Vegas on the 3rd weekend of August (17th tru 19th) and will be the biggest and best Rx. Bash so far. The itinerary and identity of the host hotel (on the strip) will be posted very soon. Every year a great time is had by all. Well over 300 Rxers and guests will be in attendace this year. Plenty of comped rooms, great food, free drinks, cash prizes, a great poker tournament and much more fun activities are in store for this year's get together.

This sounds awesome! I just came back from vegas last night but sounds pretty fun. Comped rooms? really? for everyone or is it only certain ones? I would love a comped room....i'd be willing to spend "X" amount of hours at the poker room if that is what it takes!
So do you guys go around calling each other by their screennames? Is that weird?
That is pretty funny....I guess if we are doing screennames...shdw01 (shadow 1) would be good. I'd try to convince my buddy shdw02 (never/rarely posts at therx) to come down too, hence the 1.
What about golf...would it be worthwhile to set up a day where a boatload of us Rxers have a golf day/tourney of sorts and just took over a golf course? (i've never golfed in vegas) Has this been done before? if so, how was it?
You'll have a great time. The Rx has a ton of great people. You're sure to find at least a few who you'll end up chilling with there, if not more. Most everyone (at least as far as I know, and speaking from personal experience) end up hanging out all weekend, either at the sportsbook, at the tables, or elsewhere getting hammertime.
I cannot stress enough to people who might feel nervous showing up (especially alone), worrying about how to introduce yourselves or meet people, etc, it's really not a big deal. I know that last year, a group of people who got there on Thursday met up at the sportsbook to grab some drinks, and all you had to do was just walk up to someone and introduce yourself. It's not nearly as awkward as you'd think. A few of us ended up going out to dinner afterwards, literally minutes after meeting. It was an awesome time.
The mods also do a great job of introducing themselves and introducing you to others (Dante especially, even though he's not a mod anymore).
I cannot stress enough to people who might feel nervous showing up (especially alone), worrying about how to introduce yourselves or meet people, etc, it's really not a big deal. It was a bit awkward when Skinsraj walked up and I put out my hand to shake and he promptly places his balls in it, but other than that it was good times. Surprisingly, he didn't introduce himself the same way to Mika, he just bent over and said "Send it" to her.

I can't wait for the bash...but that's a bit of a bummer in one sense: I was really pulling for it to be one of the 2 early hopefuls (Palms or Hard Rock).
