Despite the heat, I think out-of-towners like the idea of August best because they can comparison shop for divisional/AFC/NFC/Super Bowl futures and over/under season win totals with their offshore accounts and the books here to find any last-minute bargains. In addition, I'm sure some people would be interested in signing up for the Las Vegas SuperContest or other contests in town that allow proxies (I'll offer up my services).
valdosta...the Strip is just a few miles from the airport (of course, can be a 10-minute cab ride if you arrive at off-peak times or more than an hour if you're foolish enough to fly in on a Friday or Saturday night).
