I know I am going to catch some flack for suggesting this, but may I suggest that REGISTERED RX POSTERS ONLY be eligible for the door prizes, or, at a minium, the "premium" door prizes.

Correct me if I am wrong but last year the Rolex and some of the better prizes went to people that were very, very remotely connected to anything in these forums (guests of guests or something like that).

I am trying to figure out why August is still the choice. I would like to say I will be there, but it looks to be a very busy month for me when I will probably be moving.

If you guys want a place on the Strip that fits all price ranges, probably best choice is the Excalibur or Tropicana. Easy walk for all price ranges from Four Seasons or Mandalay all the way down to the world's largest Motel 6 a couple blocks away.

I believe August is the best time for the books. They are ripe with the anticipation of football season (ie they can't wait to finally be able to eat) and they are more than willing to pony up to contribute door prizes, sponsorship dollars, and are of course eager to cultivate relationships with players and the management of this website.

Charlie...is your free pass actually the trick you told us all, go to the Olympic Gardens and say you are going to play the machines at the bar?

Books could find an excuse to give a prize on any given weekend if you ask me. I personally just hate August in Vegas, tons of families and kids, terrible weather, nothing much going on. It is the month Vegas residents are all too happy to get the hell out...and for good reason!

we should have this at the palms.

poker room, sports book, good blackjack, the loosest video poker and slots in town, some good restaurants, great nightlife, lots of good lookin girls at the pool and a short cab ride to the middle of the strip for those who want to get out and about.

the strip is for losers. nothing but clip joint after clip joint looking to rip off people who don't know anything about gambling.
