Weidman was way outclassed. My wife got upset watching that live. I thought they should have stopped that fight way before they did.

I disagree. I had over 3.5 rounds and I'm glad the ref let the champ get destroyed. Champs have to get their asses beat more than other fighters because the worst thing in the world is an early stoppage giving the belt to someone new. And Karma for being such a douche the last few years as he fought Anderson. Ronda and Aldo same thing. Gotta let them go unconscious.

Are you talking about the Mendes/McGregor fight?

Yep, Mendes was gassed --- only a matter of time before McGregor caught him with a few punches.

Most of these guys stay in year-round shape --- but still, Mendes took the fight on short-notice (due to Aldo injury). With a true training-camp, maybe Mendes has the extra stamina to finish that fight? Dunno.

Yep. And I completely agree. I remember watching that fight thinking Mendes was getting tired and sloppy leaving his hands down so much and it was only a matter of time before he took a big hit

im a boxing guy that bought my first ever ppv mma event. i think that something was up with that aldo guy. he looked extremely tight to me in the intros esp for being a guy that hasnt been beaten in 10 yrs or whatever. guys like mcgregor that run their mouths sell a lot of tickets for sure. im not saying the guy took a dive and decided to come in face first to get kod but if this guy has been undefeated for 10 yrs with that kind of def, he must not have fought anyone that knows how to fight.

a 13sec ko hardly determines who is the better fighter. You are right though usually when you go undefeated for too long that is the case. You are not fighting high level competition. But thats not the case here. Aldo has fought some great competitors in his career. The rematch here will be a better fight

Boxing? You mean that flawed sport where people hit each other with pillows wrapped over their fists and never knock anyone out anymore? The same sport in which the heavyweight champ lost a few weeks ago and no one knew or cared? Oh yeah, that sport is dead. It might take a few years, but eventually you'll ditch boxing for the UFC

I could be wrong but I think Cerrone, Dos Anjos and Pettis will all beat McGregor if/when he moves up.

I don't think Pettis can, but I think Dos Anjos handles him, and Cerrone definitely gives him all that he can handle, however, I think Dos Anjos gets Cerrone this weekend with a finish...

If you look at that gif of McGregor that was a difficult technical punch he made and it was perfectly timed

He punches hard while going backwards like he knew the combination Aldo was going to do. His punch is perfectly to the chin and done on a short distance and fast.

Maybe someone could say that was a thrown fight but that play was perfect and hard to fault or accuse Aldo of talking into a punch carelessly.
