Aren't you the guy who posted yesterday that John Travolta died in a plane crash??

Your "sources" suck.

Have more than 21K posts at the RX and never posted a duped story at the RX until yesterday. Guess it's a one mistake forum.

No way in hell this was staged. Who is going to say "hit me as hard as you possibly can, busting up my nose with your left then punch me while I'm on the ground too." BTW I'm going to hit you clean almost at the same time when you hit me right in the face. Impossible...

Wiedman actually was doing pretty well until they went to the ground (which was Wiedman's fault). He had his back a couple times and hit him with a couple shots. Luke will be the favorite but I'm looking forward to a rematch down the road. Was very impressed with Rockhold though and the fight should have been stopped at the end of the 2nd, brutal elbows...

Totally agree. Besides it did nothing to justify a rematch. Edgar deserves a shot if Connor doesn't move up to 155.

As for Weidman , the fight changed when he attempted that back kick and Luke took him down.

He definitely took a dive......head first right into the mat while he was unconscious.

I agree.

And this is why the UFC is no different than boxing, in certain aspects. The big name fighters, the ones who can bring in the money, are looked out for and protected.

If a guy Dana White wants is losing, then he gets more time to try to come back.

The stoppage in the Edgar fight was a complete joke. Mendes wasn't even hurt that bad.

McGreger fight is stopped quick. This sets up the obvious next match.

I mean, other than Dana White publicly questioning the non-stoppage of Weidman fight --- unless you think he's questioning in public, and then slipping Herb Dean $50k under-the-table?

And how was the McGregor fight stopped quick? Knockout punch to the jaw, and two hammerfists? It was an easy decision for the ref.

Mendes was gassed, depleted his energy on the ground

Are you talking about the Mendes/McGregor fight?

Yep, Mendes was gassed --- only a matter of time before McGregor caught him with a few punches.

Most of these guys stay in year-round shape --- but still, Mendes took the fight on short-notice (due to Aldo injury). With a true training-camp, maybe Mendes has the extra stamina to finish that fight? Dunno.

im a boxing guy that bought my first ever ppv mma event. i think that something was up with that aldo guy. he looked extremely tight to me in the intros esp for being a guy that hasnt been beaten in 10 yrs or whatever. guys like mcgregor that run their mouths sell a lot of tickets for sure. im not saying the guy took a dive and decided to come in face first to get kod but if this guy has been undefeated for 10 yrs with that kind of def, he must not have fought anyone that knows how to fight.

ha, yea Chad Mendez, Uriah Faber, and Frankie Edgar don't know how to fight, at all, they've just been in the Top 5 of the World's best for the last 10 years. Comical, but I wouldn't expect anything less from a boxing guy. Does jiu jitsu even work?

Aldo...great fighter. Also, Aldo can't hang with guys bigger/faster than him (i.e Conor)

Agree. So do you think Conor runs through the 155 Division too? I mean Dana is not gonna make him by giving him the title shot immediately when he jumps up (BS to me, btw) but just asking...

I can't stand DW, never did from the start. All he cares about are #'s. Conor won't "run" thru the division, but he will do just fine. If he catches a large 155 fighter with speed, he will be in trouble

All these fights are very easy for me to predict..Holly, Luke, and Conor were all easy as it gets. The whole UFC blows up so many fighters that it is laughable. The UFC was nothing like it was in the early 90's.

Jones is another joke. He is a HW who has only fought in LHW. He lost to Gus, but got the BS decision. DC will beat him in April. Dana does not want him to move up nor did he ever want him in HW. If he fought any of the top 10 HW's, he would get destroyed with ease.
