During an exchange with New York magazine reporter Gabriel Sherman on his HBO program Real Time, the political satirist made an incest joke about first daughter Ivanka Trump and her father, President Donald Trump.
“What do you make of Ivanka and her efforts to sort of humanize her father?” Maher asked Sherman of the first daughter, who is currently flouting ethics rules in promoting her new book, Women Who Work. You see, Sherman has become the leading media voice when it comes to Fox News, and his tireless reporting led to the ouster of Fox News overlord Roger Ailes.
“We see all this misogyny at Fox News, we see it in Donald Trump himself,” continued Maher. “A lot of us thought: Ivanka is gonna be our saving grace. When he’s about to nuke Finland or something, she’s gonna walk into the bedroom and—‘Daddy, Daddy…’” he said, mimicking Ivanka giving her father a handjob. “‘Don’t do it, Daddy.’”

Yes..... And its easily proven (except the homeless part, but it seems to be on the horizon). He does sue companies, banks and collection agencies that try and collect money that he owes them. He gets a loan, mortgage or credit, and when he cant/wont pay, he sues them for trying to collect. Pure definition of WELCH but much much lower form of it, since he takes it to the extreme.

And if anyone doubts it, several of us around here can prove it. Also, dont forget that he had a 77 year old widow sign him onto her house using a quickclaim deed here in Vegas, and also had a Marine Veteran in Virginia sign his house over to him using the same quicklaim deed as well... Roseanne Barr's racist tweet Tuesday morning has now cost her even more as Viacom announced that Paramount Network, TV Land and CMT will all be pulling "Roseanne" reruns from the air.

The working-class family comedy, starring Barr, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Michael Fishman and Sara Gilbert, ran on ABC from 1988 to 1997 before being revived this year on the same network.


But the reboot's strong viewership numbers couldn't outmatch its star's racist rants, finally coming to a head Tuesday when Barr called Valerie Jarrett, the former senior adviser to President Barack Obama, the baby of the "Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes."

The 65-year-old actress apologized for her "bad joke" after massive backlash, but ABC pulled the plug on her show anyway.


"Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show," ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey said in a statement.

Disney boss Bob Iger sided with Dungey, tweeting "there was only one thing to do here, and that was the right thing."

Hulu also pulled the show from its streaming service Tuesday, a source told the Daily News.

Gilbert, who played Barr's daughter on the original and the reboot, called her co-star's comments "incredibly sad and difficult for all of us," while Emma Kenney, who plays Barr's granddaughter, said she was in the process of quitting when the show was canceled.


Barr was also dropped by her talent agency, ICM, and ABC gave up its Emmy campaign for the comedy.

Viacom did not immediately return a request for comment and it's unclear what the networks will use to fill the now empty time slots left vacant by "Roseanne."

Update: 11:30 p.m. EDT, May 29, 2018: Roseanne Barr issued another apology via Twitter late Tuesday night after ABC cancelled her rebooted show earlier in the day following a Twitter rant and racist tweets.
“Don't feel sorry for me, guys!” Barr said in a short tweet just before 11:30 p.m.
“I just want to apologize to the hundreds of people, and wonderful writers (all liberal) and talented actors who lost their jobs on my show due to my stupid tweet,” she said.

Politics aside, I'm not a fan in any way of Roseanne and always found the woman to be repulsive. I happened upon this thread last night before going to bed and thought, just maybe, I could understand what prompted the tweet. But in typical RX fashion, not one poster took the time to explain that (so I looked it up).

She was responding to a Tweet that alleged that “Jarrett helped hide a lot.” That was a reference to a Wikileaks claim that the CIA during Obama’s term spied on candidates for the French election.

I can't say I've wasted any time whatsoever watching the news for the last year. I grew tired of the one sided media story. But I also don't spend a lot of time on boards like this any more as it appears most posters don't seem to have much upstairs in regards to critical thinking skills either. I live in a different area now so I am no longer subjected to one sided political viewpoints. I have to say it is refreshing to be around people that can talk about issues instead of parties. I grew tired quite some time ago of all this rooting for political parties like they were baseball teams.

On a side note, this poster is a great example of the dumbing down of America...
