I didn't say they scored a lot Illini. If you make the statement they couldn't run the ball then back it with stats please.

Fact of the matter is the #2 run D in the nation that normally gives up 86.6 RYPG gave up 162. Stanford doubled their game average in the Rose Bowl.

Don't say they couldn't run the ball if you don't have the stats to back it up. Simply put, you're wrong. Just accept it and move along.

You failed to bring up that Stanford averaged 211 rush yards/game so Mich St held them to 49 under their average.

MSU has a good team and a good rush D but Stanford rushed for 162 yards in the game. To say they couldn't run in the game is woefully inaccurate don't you think?

So holding a team to half a football field under their average in a one-score game isn't significant, especially when they had a 10 point lead to start?

You aren't reading what I'm writing. Sure, it's significant. Great job MSU.

But, Illini posted Stanford couldn't run the ball in the game. They ran for 162 almost doubling up MSU's average. My point is they did run the ball. His statement was inaccurate.

no they couldn't run the ball sure they broke 2 plays for big yardage 74 total that puts them at 88 yards the rest of the game sometimes stats lie if they could of run the ball they might have had more the 11 first downs

Maybe Stanford is a little like Oregon.........very difficult to beat a more physical team. I thought that Shaw coached a terrible game. The Stanford D, much like Alabama was over hyped this year.

There is always next year........been saying that for 30 years being a UGA fan

If a QB throws for 300 yards but two of those plays went for 70+ yards would you say they couldn't pass but instead just got lucky and broke two long plays?

I mean, breaking two long big plays is part of executing your offense right?

Not sure what your point is. Auburn doesn't pass much anyhow.

They rank #107 in the nation in the pass averaging 169.6 YPG through the air. So, before the hail marry, they were at their average.

Passing is not what they do.

Stanford usually lays out the punishment to other teams..They just had a real bad game plan ..and the refs didn't help

The offense had two long runs and only scored 10 points FOR THE GAME. I'd say they underachieved. MSU made adjustments.

I'd say they got beat by a better team. But, not that it matters much, the offense scored 13 not 10.
