If a guy at your work Called another guy an asshole or sweetcakes would he be fired over it?

Probably only if the guy was gay and out of the closet?

It really depends on the siutation but since I'm in the military if a superior calls a subordinate "sweetcakes" or vice versa it's quite possible there'd be disciplinary action taken. We have an internal agency that investigates accusations of wrongdoing and if they are contacted they they are forced to investigate.

I'm not saying it's right or wrong. What I'm saying is in today's work environment it's not tolerated period.

I don't condone what Franklin did, you have to have more brains then that in today's world, but not sure firing him was the right punishment...

The Bachelor is the same as Mad Men, staged, made for TV fantasy, not real.

Doesn't matter. The Bachelor is a show aired on a National TV station as "reality TV". Allowing violence in the form of assault to be aired on TV in a "reality" show, staged or not, is irresponsable. Shame on you for accepting that. If he had slapped her, could you imagine the uproar?

I know the difference very well, thank you. I just don't think it is right that a woman can get away with slapping a man on ab ABC Primetime Reality show, fantasy or not. That's part of the problem with the world today.

And FYI, Franklin was wrong. I'm not defending him. He was out of line. Should he have lost his job? I'm not 100% sure of that, but I don't work for ESPN and don't know his job history. If this is a repeat offense, then it was justified. If not, perhaps something else could have been done.

No, my main contribution to this site is giving out sound 'capping advice.

I will make an exception just this one time and bring my accomplishments to light, because that's not my style.

Where to start, for a five week period last year I went documented 23-4-3 ats with detailed writeups, posted hours before game time, finished the year at 69 percent.
