I don't see them winning a playoff series unless they get Atlanta rd 1 maybe and I think Knicks got a good shot to take the division from them.
You really don't like Igoudala that much? He is by far their best all around player, 1 of the best defensive players in the league, facilitates for them, rebounds, hits some 3s...
Knicks will be tough but I like the way the schedule shakes out for philly in april. If the division is close in april I like sixers chances.
I have no doubt iggy is the best talent on sixers...he is very good defensive player but certainly not every night. He is very poor in the 4th quarter....sixers rely on lou williams in the 4th...not iggy. His end of the game shots for the tie or win are always the same thing...hard dribble right and fade away jumper that hits prob 5 percent of the time.
My biggest problem is that he is so athletic and gifted but doesn't use it. Like I said....he just isn't aggressive enough and does not get to the free throw line often enough.
Iguodala is a stat guy...he can fill up a sheet and looks like the guy you want or your team....until you have em.
Yeah because Iguodala isn't remotely an elite offensive player. It isn't his fault he is on a team where their best scorer is Lou Williams, thus exposing his offensive short comings. If he was on another team where he could just play that poor mans Pippen role all night he wouldn't be as exposed for his offense.......I don't think he is a stats guy who looks like you want on your team at all, I think he is one of the top 5-10 defensive players in the league and by far the best player on an overachieving 1st place team.
I've seen him since he's been a sixer....trust me...he's a stats guy. He pouts when somebody misses a shot on one of his passes if his assists are low...and he starts giving a huge rebound effort only when a triple double is in sight. No doubt he would be very good as a 2 man on another team but the guy thinks he's MJ when he isn't. He is the best player on this team as it is right now though. I would look back to last year when iggy was hurt and the sixers still played very well....they can still win when he doesn't show up...which does happen.
The east is weak. The heat is the class and everybody else is average. Sixers handled the bulls this year also...if I had to rank though it would be heat, bulls and then sixers, orl, atl, knicks all bunched together.
I'm not sure sixers are overachieving. They beat up on the bad teams and split with the good ones...they play solid defense which keeps them in every game.
