This thought occurred to me as well.
Let me hear from you guys. Who’s in favor of paying each category, ($25 with a 10 team league, $30 for a 12), or who wants to pay the regular season winner $250, (with a ten team league), or $300, (with a 12 team league).
Keep in mind the payouts are:

I like PIMs as a category because you have to find players like Marchand, Hartnell, Byfuglien, etc. who put up both points and PIMS.
Those of you who are Leafs fans probably expected similar type results out of David Clarkson when he was w/the Leafs after delivering for the Devils. Instead, he started his Leafs career w/a 10 game suspension and he was never again the player he was in NJ.

IOW, entering final four weeks, a manager that is out of playoff hunt is also likely not ranked overly high in any one category. But if they stay fully active in final four weeks, their Final Four Weeks numbers could possibly qualify for the $25 pops

No he was saying this was to keep teams that are eliminated from playoff contention, with four weeks to go, from mailing it in. Not using just the numbers for the last four weeks. After thinking about this I’m more supportive of Adam’s idea and award the presidents trophy award winner the extra cash.
If its a case of people wanting to spread the money around another suggestion would be to separate the league into 3 Divisions of 4(only works with 12 guys). Then pay the winner of each division $75 with an extra $75 going to the Presidents Trophy winner. But this is only really fair if 8 teams make the playoffs, if we only have 4 make playoffs 3 of the 4 teams will have already cashed and they are the only ones with a chance at the title. Doesn't keep the other 8 teams on the outside looking in very motivated at all. Or we could have a loser bracket that runs in the playoffs with the winner getting there buy in back or something. Just throwing ideas out.

Ayuh....Inverse challenge....I have some American citizen friends well established in Vancouver who have minor pot busts on their US record. So they (for now) do not risk crossing to USA for fear they will not be permitted back into Canada
Meanwhile, full disclosure.....If you had not taken offense to my quip and instead challenged me with, "Okay Bar, I'll raise you to a $200 entry fee", then I would likely have folded and headed for the dress shop myself
