Teaser Guru,

You need to take a chill pill on this. Some of these posters are simply expressing their experiences and thoughts about the "lines" at RIO...

They are not saying RIO is a terrible sports book who doesn't pay out....

AU CONTRAIRE....

But to not given them the respect they deserve for sharing is plain wrong...

I know you have your thoughts about RIO and other sports books that change their lines too...

And I personally have experienced other shops doing the exact same thing that RIO DOES..

But does it make it right? NO

Do I get frustrated when it happens? YES

But the bottom line of this thread for me is that these posters raise some valid concerns and attacking them isn't the best way to handle this, imho...

P.S.

I also agree that it would be nice to hear a response back from RIO...

I have had the same experience that gambler has had with rio and other books.. they have u profiled which means that every bet u take it goes to the linesman to approve hence the delay... All these guys need to stop sleeping at the helm and move the numbers... im not here to run ur sportsbook.. some of these guys put u on hold for like 2minustes before reaaading a line.. the worst experience i had was with 5dimes who took away my internet betting which was only $500 limit.. and i had to call in and talk to the stage and then would take about 2 minutes to read a line and then read me pinny, cris or oly's line.. what a joke? if u truly want to be a internet book be more like pinny who takes action only on the internet and no shaving..

Very ture. SOme books have taken the approach of rather than hiring competent linesman wo keeps the lines updated at all times and honors his lines, some books have taken the approach of flagging all thier players who only bet on their lines when they are displaying the best line. The way, the linesman can kick back thier feet and wait for one of us to try to place a bet. As soon as we do, they check thier DB screen, see why we are coming in and move the line.

My feeling is, if you wnat to pay me t update your lines, fine, you want to give me a bonus for pointing out a stae line, thats fine too, or the best thing is to simply honor your line and then move it. But you really have to ask yourself what is the book owner thinking, when he allows these lazy linesman to chase away cusotmers. Seems to me, the smart thing to with be to fire the linesman and hire some competent people who can update the lines, and keep your reputation.
