You most certainly can have an opinion, but along with it, i might suggest trying to have A LITTLE CLASS, as well....

Bucs, you continue to edit my posts for saying I think someone is "not a good person" and say I shouldn't do it for an athlete or anyone. So if i do a search, wont i find hundreds, even thousands of posts with someone saying so and so is a ___________???????

Bucs, I understand about religious posts being kept out of the main forum, i really do...i did not post that to "get a rise" as you suggest, i did it in response to others saying RIP etc.....i doubt very much they would be saying RIP etc to Ted Bundy, Bin Laden etc so to me it is no different with the pope. That was why i said it. The last thing I was trying to do was cause trouble. I was shocked I got such a response from you all.

Reuters reported incorrectly, so this thread has no merit any longer. The Pope will soon pass and a new thread will be started no doubt when he does. My suggestion for all involved would be to lock this thread and/or move it to the Rubber Room. It has zero value in the Offshore Forum. Not to mention the comments that have been made.

This thread is similar to one we had posted in Politics last year when President Reagan died. One poster insisted on being very disrespectful towards a high profile world figure while he was dying and after he passed. IMO this kind of thread does no good for the site, it's posters and sponsers or employees. We have a few taboos here such as racisim, and disrespect for the dead or dying being two of the most serious. Oldman Ted is correct the thread at best should be in World Events or at least closed Offshore until the topic becomes reality rather than fiction.
Sherman you are entitled to you're opinion natrually but try to remember there are millions of people who are devout Christians, perhaps a bit of tact is in order at this point in time.
