You guys are too funny man. SMH. Calls missed and made on both sides. There was no overturning that 4th down call with the video they showed on TV, whether the spot was right or wrong. It was very close and could've gone either way, but once it was spotted there was no video angle to give a good reason to overturn it. I didn't know only 2 penalties against OSU, that's crazy, but if you don't commit fouls, they don't throw flags. Could've been a PI called on that 3rd down play, but we have the benefit of seeing it again in slow mo. The refs have to make judgement calls in real time, and if it's not that noticeable they probably don't call that in big games. There were some calls they made that we didn't even see in real time until the replay showed it.
Oh, and refresh my memory, when was it that Ohio State got "smokeshowed" in the Playoffs? Was it when they beat Bama and Oregon with a 3rd string QB or was it last year when they didn't make the Playoff but "smokeshowed" Notre Dame in the Fiesta bowl? I'm confused...and Denis has it right, there were many other plays that decided that game. Like fumbling at the 1 yd line, and missing 2 FG's.
Oh, and bring on the "homer" comments, even though I played Bichigan ML, but I'm more than likely done with this convo. Bet with your wallet, not your heart!
