Younger, faster, stronger players are happy to work cheaper.

And Rays fans can attend games in the second deck with a panoramic view of the entire field for just $9 per game
Billy Beane must be jealous

whoever has the rights to the ws is standing on the edge of the cliff right now...

from possible dream matchup la vs bos and a not that bad 2nd matchup of bos vs philly

to tb/philly...say goodnight ratings LOL...

Fans made themselves believe LA/BOS was going to happen, when indeed Phi/TB was much more likely all along. I, for one, am very excited for this series (assuming both hold on). Tampa Bay will be here MANY times in the near future so fans better get used to it. They're only going to get better folks, and right now you have to consider them the favorites for the World Series.

Anyone else think Kevin Cash would have as many hits (1) and more RBI (1-0) in this series through 4 games as Ortiz, Ellsbury and Varitek combined? I know I did.

Yeah, and an average of 22,000 fans took advantage of that every home game this year. Great fanbase.

Oh, is that how they advertise nosebleed seats nowadays - "Panoramic view of the entire field?" I'd sure hope that if you're sitting far away, your sight lines aren't restricted to just right field :nohead:

FUNK, all I can tell you is that in section 301, which is the second deck directly behind home plate, I'm told by YankeeFan that in the just destroyed Stadium, seats were $120

So I can do about a third of a season for the same price that YankeeFan will pay to watch one nine inning Yankee loss to a team with 1/5th their payroll.

bar if they can get the people who are coming out for the playoff games actually sign on for season tickets and REALLY start drawing to increase revenues ATB (food/drink/apparel in the park etc)...and can sign these guys to longterm deals and actually KEEP them before a mass exodus happens....

yeah, they are gonna be dominant for the next 5years....

the people really shitting their pants have to be the yankees and their fans...they are an OLD OVERPAID club that now has to contend with 2powerhouses in the same division (bc the redsox arent going anywhere bc they have a LOT of stars on this team and a lot of young stars already on the roster)

the yankees might not sniff the playoffs for a few years and wouldnt that be a shame :)

Can't disagree HFAN

Currently locked down with mulityear contrcts:

Longoria (6years), Pena (3years), CC (3years), Bartlett (3years), Kazmir and Shields (4years)

Only Upton of the "stars" not yet signed longer, but he can't be a FA for three years

Same with most all the other stars of this current team. They're first or second year players

Longer vets like Hinske, Floyd, Percival et al won't be here after this season

Good stuff was wondering how long some of those younger guys were locked in for the RAYS.

Guess the AL East better get used to what we we are seeing this year from Tampa.

Just imagine if Hamilton (a RAYS #1 pick) didnt run into his troubles. That's scary.
