The Warriors became the first team since the 2008 Celtics to start a season with at least 19 wins through 21 games, and just the 16th in NBA history to accomplish the feat...but in their last 14 games the Warriors have faced poor-below average teams with exception to the Bulls- pre Rose having the confidence to take it strong to the basket, and The Rockets minus Dwight Howard. I'm not going to sit here and say the Warriors are overrated because they aren't they have done a pretty consistent job of establishing their supremacy over the below average teams. They will,however, be facing their toughest test since starting the 14 game winning streak that they are currently on. Dallas has disappointed me this season they are 17-7 but they have had trouble beating good teams. 7 losses are to....Spurs, Trailblazers, Heat@home, Houston, Indiana@home, Suns by 12 @home, and Memphis...some troubling home losses...they have beaten good teams @Wizards by 3, @Toronto by 4, @Chicago by 3-in an amazingly fortunate turn of events. They just don't have any impressive wins. I'm not sold on the Mavs but I think think this is one they need to win and if they're winning this they will have to outscore the Warriors, I don't think they can win a game more geared towards defense...low risk bet...

Philly has gotten better as the season has progressed. They lost by 18 last night but they were only down by 3 entering the 4th quarter @Brooklyn.I like what I've seen from Philly. 10.5 points at home is a pretty good number. I think Memphis is just trying to grind out wins. Last night's double OT win @Charlotte wasn't pretty.

You may be right, that win at Boston might have been them getting that monkey of their back and I am of the opinion that Boston is a little better than a lot of people think...There were reports of turmoil between Melo and Tim Hardaway Jr. and then the team's frustration with coach Fisher's triangle offense being "too predictable". I'm waiting to see if they can build on a win and get any momentum going before I believe they've moved past those kind of problems...but it is more that I like the Raptors than I dislike the Knicks. I'm not that worried about not having Derozan, they can't replace him but Lou Williams has played well and they have a deep bench overall. I tend to think missing a good player gets bettors to overreact a little bit. I think Lowry should have an easy time getting into the lane with whichever of the Knicks' point guards are on him. No Shumpert and JR Smith is questionable and although he is very hit or miss missing him takes away from how dangerous they are since he's always a threat to get hot.
This isn't one I feel particularly strongly about so if you go through all the pros and cons and you like the Knicks don't be deterred by my opinion this is a divisional match-up after all with a reasonable total posted at 199 and the Knicks are home dogs getting 7.
