There's so much ignorance and delusion in this post, I don't even know where to start. The Big-Bang is the icing on the cake that disproves religion? BWAHAHAHAHAAHA. Let me educate you.

For centuries scientists taught that the universe was eternal. The prevalent theory in cosmology, was that it was "Steady State" it always existed, and hence no need for a cause.

With the advent of the Big Bang - the universe must have a cause/creator, because it had a definite beginning, and we can calculate backwards from the expanding universe to approximate the date.

Here's a CNN article this past week which says that the Big Bang theory shows strong support for God:

http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2014/03/20/does-the-big-bang-breakthrough-offer-proof-of-god/

Think about the simple Cosmological argument for the existence of a creator:

i see you are delusional but can copy and paste. great work. i already read the article. in it, i believe it is a she, she says she is a christian and a scientist. that is impossible. does she think the earth is 10,000 yrs old like the time line in genesis says????? it's only every other scientists that acknowledges the earth is around 4 to 5 billion yrs old. they base it on factual evidence, not a fake fairytale.

the only scientific rope christians have held on to was their belief that something can't come from nothing. there had to be a creator. albert einstein disagreed with this totally and outlined a cosmic reaction the universe was created by. it had nothing to do with a creator. he died before it could be proven, because he was a real scientist who required actual proof. even if there was a creator, it doesn't prove what power created it. so you go to fairy tales to explain it.

the latest proof just found shows it was not the result of a creator, but of a cosmic explosion. that blows every christian theory out of the water. you pick 1 article from a christian who is as delusional as you are. she can't accept the facts just like all religious people. when you argue proven fact, you aren't a christian scientist, you are as delusional all christians. you are not even close, but hey, keep arguing with scientific facts. why stop now. your logic below is 5th grade like. modern scientists have always rejected there was an eternal universe. that is religion. you don't even have a clue what you are talking about. even if i spot you the impossible bull you are telling me, it still wouldn't prove any religion was formed. you are crazy and grossly ill informed.

1. Everything that begins to exist, must have a cause
2. The universe began to exist
3. Ergo, the universe has a cause/creator

Now, as far as your blather about religion causing deaths in the world:

oh, i forgot. you have pie charts that would actually impossible to verify because time and recorded history. but hey, how can you argue with a made up pie chart??? what other ideal since mankind is responsible for more deaths than religion????? got a pie chart for that???? insane dictators who kill millions, which is what your pie charts are based on, does not have anything to do with atheism. it has to do with ethnic cleansing, a religious act , and some fucked up people. to try and say that is atheism shows how desperate and stupid you are. atheism and violence have nothing to do with each other. religion and violence have always been joined at the hip, even in the bible. which running theme is violence.

I shouldn't even bother to respond, since your posts are so filled with BS and ignorance. BTW, I debate with actual informed atheists who know what they are talking about, but you clearly do not.

#1. The Bible does not have a timeline in Genesis that says the earth is 10,000 years old <--- complete horseshit
#2. You're just not very bright, not even close. Explosions don't happen from nothing. Honest atheists, educated atheists admit this is a problem for their world-view
#3. Modern scientists have not always rejected there was an eternal universe. Until the Big bang Theory came along, that was *the* accepted view

Care to try again?

Nobody ever killed in the name of atheism. It's as simple as that?

Everything needs a creator? Who created God? You can't just say he's magical and call it a day.

Scientists are the most religious people of all. They are hard at work studying "God's" universe and seeing how "he" did it.

Science bless you.

King,

#1. Um, millions upon millions were killed in the name of atheism, fact. It was their atheistic world-view that allowed them to wipe out countless millions of people. Fact.
#2. Just spewing out "who created God" doesn't negate the fact that some transcendent all-powerful entity (God) created the universe.

Nobody killed in the name of atheism and that's a fact. Being an atheist doesn't mean you have no morals like you are assuming.

You're assuming a powerful being created the universe and that's fine. We're human beings and have limited thinking. Whatever created this universe doesn't need to be personified in any way.

There's no God. There's nothing after this life. Let's just enjoy this one while we can.

With all due respect, you lost me when you mentioned CNN. They were seriously discussing the possibility of flight 370 being swallowed up by a Black Hole.

By using them as a source, your argument in that post is invalid.....sorry sir.

Greatest post you've ever read on this site?

I'll let the readers be a judge of the extent of stupidity in that statement.
