Javey,

Stop posting fake numbers. Not a good look.

The accurate numbers have been posted, and it still clearly proves there's a willful attempt by the media to spin reality.

Every Republican governor having state in the entire country is doing better than Quebec in the death per million count. Every single one.

And as I mentioned, Quebec is very low populated by density. They should be able to handle this very well. But the DNC goes out and flat out says Canada is handling this phenomenally while Trump/Republicans aren't. It's a bold faced lie.

Democrat led states are handling this horribly. Republican led states are handling this well. That's what the numbers provably say.

Tennessee cases & deaths are spiking compared to Quebec.

Quebec was hit hard early in the pandemic with a tidal wave, while out in the sticks Tennessee obviously avoided that because, well, they're out in the sticks, like an island in the middle of an ocean.

Presently Quebec is beating the virus & Tennessee is losing to the virus.

You've obviously never been to Tennessee. If you look at Quebec and Tennessee, Tennessee has 3 of the 4 biggest cities of those 2 areas. Only Montreal is a bigger city than Nashville, Memphis, and Knoxville.

Quebec has a death per million 3 times higher than Tennessee, a Republican state that has mostly been living their lives as normal since the beginning of this. Hell, I went to Gatlinburg and bars were open when the entire country was closed because police there refused to violate people's constitutional rights.

You can make up whatever nonsense you want to make up. Tennessee is handling this better than Quebec. 300% the deaths per million speaks for itself.

Irrelevant. You're talking about ancient history & I referred to the here & now reality.

How many Chinese, Iranian, Italian & other hotspot visitors did isolated out in the sticks Tit-ans country have in the early pandemic relative to Quebec? Switch Tit-ans country with the location of NY & see how Tit-ans country would have been horribly affected like NY was. Like I said:

So you think that eventually Tennessee's death per million rate will be worse than Quebec? That's your official position?

Winning? Losing?

Deaths per million being 300% higher in Quebec shows pretty clearly that they are currently getting raped by Tennessee in terms of "beating the virus."

You're essentially saying that Quebec is winning because they're down by 75 points but they just hit a layup so they're on the comeback train. Just pure fucking stupidity.

The intelligent will understand.

No one would ever think you were more intelligent than me, for the record.

And no, you don't have a position.

Quebec has 300% more deaths right now than Tennessee when adjusted for the population of each, and not only that, both have an unemployment rate of 9.5%.

So Tennessee achieved the same level of economic mitigation as Quebec, with 1/3rd the rate of death.

Tennessee skull fucked Quebec.

Growing up in northern Vermont I spent a lot of time across the border in la belle province. Let me just say, Vive Le Quebec Libre! It is a beautiful place, full of history and vibrant people, not like that fucking redneck sewer Tennessee, no offense

Only if you watch MSNBC and believe them.

America is still the owner of the world.

Do you really think 180,000 sickly people dying changes that? Really?

REALLY?

We lose 500,000 per year due to preventable heart disease, but it's the 180,000 from a black swan virus that China caused and that's the end of the American empire? :hammerit

You said you were leaving, coward. Most people in Tennessee have far more integrity than you.

Canada has 9k deaths, but Quebec only has 5,700 deaths. You do realize Quebec is only one province in Canada, right?

Also, of the Quebec deaths, Montreal has 3,500. Quebec is a large province in terms of land, but most of the population is concentrated near Montreal, USA border, etc.

Which is pretty much true for *all* of Canada -- I think 90% of Canada lives within 60 minutes of USA border? So you can regurgitate all the "facts" about Population Density per Square Mile, but they're meaningless without some context.

Look at a map of Canada, and keep looking north. You think those areas are heavily populated?

dive into the numbers.

the narrative is that Canada is doing great and Republican states aren’t.

that’s a lie. The stats show those two narratives both can’t be true.

every republican state has a lower death per million rate than Quebec.

you seem to understand that this is about population density, but at the same time, Tennessee has Nashville which is about half the size of Montreal, as well as Memphis and Knoxville.

But they have tons of other of medium sizes cities like Chattanooga or Crossville or Bristol, etc.

So it’s still noteworthy that their death rate per million is 1/3rd that of Quebec, who is supposedly beating this virus easily, while Tennessee is a disaster area.

that’s the media spin anyway. It’s a lie, that’s obvious.

Only if you watch MSNBC and believe them.

Most medical experts recognize the USA has been losing the war vs C-19 compared to most of the world.

America is still the owner of the world.

God might have something to say about that. Not to mention about 200 other nations.

Wrong. Most people recognize that if you remove the disaster area that is the democratically controlled New York, New Jersey, and Mass., then America's rate of death per million is actually far lower than Europe's.

What an intelligent person realizes that if New York had handled this well, the entire country would be in the Germany death rate level.

And also, an intelligent person realizes that Asian countries that are used to giving up their rights to their mighty overlord politicians are obviously going to handle this type of virus better than a western world.

They'll also be slaves to their leaders and never innovate 1/100000th as well as America has over the last 200 years, but I guess that's an argument for another day.

In conclusion, you refuse to admit that Quebec bent over and took it from the virus, but that Republican led American states are all doing better than them, because you're a partisan hack.

Read this & weep:

"How the Pandemic Defeated America

A virus has brought the world’s most powerful country to its knees.

How did it come to this? A virus a thousand times smaller than a dust mote has humbled and humiliated the planet’s most powerful nation. America has failed to protect its people, leaving them with illness and financial ruin. It has lost its status as a global leader. It has careened between inaction and ineptitude. The breadth and magnitude of its errors are difficult, in the moment, to truly fathom.

n the first half of 2020, SARS‑CoV‑2—the new coronavirus behind the disease COVID‑19—infected 10 million people around the world and killed about half a million. But few countries have been as severely hit as the United States, which has just 4 percent of the world’s population but a quarter of its confirmed COVID‑19 cases and deaths. These numbers are estimates. The actual toll, though undoubtedly higher, is unknown, because the richest country in the world still lacks sufficient testing to accurately count its sick citizens.

Despite ample warning, the U.S. squandered every possible opportunity to control the coronavirus. And despite its considerable advantages—immense resources, biomedical might, scientific expertise—it floundered. While countries as different as South Korea, Thailand, Iceland, Slovakia, and Australia acted decisively to bend the curve of infections downward, the U.S. achieved merely a plateau in the spring, which changed to an appalling upward slope in the summer. “The U.S. fundamentally failed in ways that were worse than I ever could have imagined,” Julia Marcus, an infectious-disease epidemiologist at Harvard Medical School, told me.

Since the pandemic began, I have spoken with more than 100 experts in a variety of fields. I’ve learned that almost everything that went wrong with America’s response to the pandemic was predictable and preventable. A sluggish response by a government denuded of expertise allowed the coronavirus to gain a foothold. Chronic underfunding of public health neutered the nation’s ability to prevent the pathogen’s spread. A bloated, inefficient health-care system left hospitals ill-prepared for the ensuing wave of sickness. Racist policies that have endured since the days of colonization and slavery left Indigenous and Black Americans especially vulnerable to COVID‑19. The decades-long process of shredding the nation’s social safety net forced millions of essential workers in low-paying jobs to risk their life for their livelihood. The same social-media platforms that sowed partisanship and misinformation during the 2014 Ebola outbreak in Africa and the 2016 U.S. election became vectors for conspiracy theories during the 2020 pandemic."
