Froggy can get on your nerves a bit, but overall he seems like a good guy.

OK General, I saluted the unifrom, I respected the person in it. There were a lot of zeros who did not earn my respect, so I victimized them. Those Ensigns and JG's were just ready to command the world. Always got them, just a matter of time. I do not think I attacked Ironlock, I was disputing his post. I do not adhere to his thinking, that is all. And I asked for an explanation. I guess I am too dense to read between the lines of the Ironlocks of the world. All I ask is if you have something to say, say it. I need it point blank. Hope that is not being to demanding. One thing you notice Pancho, I do not just rant and rave, there is some logic and thought to my posts. And I do have a good feel for the numbers. But now my screen is back, beeping away. Others demands will make my presence here scarce. Too bad, all I want to do is remain profitable. 14-16 hours a day is the grind. Back in the cooker. See you in Febuary. Best Wishes...OF

Point well taken General Sir...

General may you change my tagline to Pinnacle Sucker for Life! Please. And now that I am back in the ponds, can I have my old original bullfrog wil got for me back. Thanks...OF

Sounds fine and dandy. But, and this is the problem with our corporate culture. We have usually two or three top companies in most segments of the economy. Executives when leaving a company either go to another and often know what the fate of the company will be. For example...when the folks from the former Handspring left Palm they may have had ideas/inventions that they were holding off on releasing because they anticipated moving on. This presents a good oportunity for short selling shares of one company while buying shares of the other while individual investors because they rely on false signals sent out through the media which makes them think that the original company will continue to do well. It is also a way to circumvent anti-trust/anti-monpoly laws.

What would happen if someone else followed Pinnacles low juice model and did the same thing? They would be up the river IMO. They would still be profitable but not that much. This is why there is often collusion and price fixing behind closed doors in corporate America. If there weren't , the consumer would rule and things would be cheap to the point that some may say would stifle innovation.

I know what you mean by their numbers collapsing (on only some games) maybe 5 minutes before game time.

I don't think they gamble and have a different view. As the day progresses and their volume grows the computer programme is designed to allow a certain imbalance to prevent moving the line every 20 seconds which would be overly annoying to punters. They already move it often enough. When they are ready to close book at game time I think they would rather balance the book at no profit on the balancing bet and not hold any side in the game. I don't believe they ever get far out, maybe 49%/51% but they'd rather balance the 2% or less and take no risk.

Also I notice their baseball lines sometimes go OTB (with no pitcher change) in the middle of the day prior to a large line jump. My thought is that the computer needs to move the line more than it is authorized and sends an alarm for human intervention.

I agree we don't and can't know. My thoughts are based on the yield management programmes airlines use for selling seats applied to a gaming situation.

I also don't think they are super sharp. I think they have good to excellent linesmen who can post an opening number. I think their reputation for super sharpness comes after their lines have been "adjusted" by the sharp bettors.

I've seen football openers that have moved over 10 cents within 10 minutes.

It is good to have my bullfrog back. I feel like working. Made my first D. Best ping with Mike Price and +26, WWTS. A. St zero interest in running up score proceeding trip to Northwestern. With Walter the star, and untested backups, he will be pulled with a sizable lead. Lot of starters gone, both sides of ball. Both time last season in tune ups, A St just did enough to win. Look for huge improvement in UTEP, as party animal Price brings instant credibility and juco's to wasteland program. Even when winning 1 or 2 games, UTEP can hang around, if not scare good teams who take them lightly. I just do not see a 4 td difference when game is over. 24 1/2's showing...Best Wishes...OF

OMNIVOROUS FROG,

Serious question here. Why do you not share your selections with us in the sports rooms?

You could be a valuable contributor and reach out to many more posters with your own threads.

stomie, it went to me +26, that is why D. Best pinged.

General, too many clicks back and forth. I am capping horses, watching screen and other multi-tasking demands. I may adjust sooner than later. But for now, I am in this thread...might want to take a flier on Iron Flight in Del Mar 5th. Morning odds 3-1. This horse is approx $10,000 better horse than rest of field. Bounces back from Turf, very nice second against better horses, back to dirt. Last time it did that beat better horses. On a real fast close. Lot of entrants here faded last few races, while this filly flew home. My target is 5/2, win, and I will monitor place pools. Best Wishes...OF

I will take it under consideration General Sir.

Thanks. The reason I ask is two-fold.

You could help the guys in the sports rooms which do not read offshore as much. Lot of sharp guys in offshore already.

The reason we have sports rooms are for picks. We cannot allow everyone to use offshore for picks or then we would be full of them. Like touting, soliciting, etc... we have Site Promotions.

No harm no foul currently. Seems isolated for the most part.

All the best

Hope you nailed that horse General Sir...Pretty much dominated. Paid lousy $5.00 it was a bit too good of horse for competition, was an easy spot. Still, I take the cash. Best Wishes...OF

OF is a fine poster...

a little high on himself but heck... we all like to brag when we win...

OF, please post plays in the sports forums... gimme a break... a few extra clicks....

it is exactly for reasons like this that people perceive you to have a 'chip' on your shoulders... like the forums are good enough for you or your plays wont get the attention they deserve...

imagine if everyone started posting their plays from each sport in the offshore forum?

No brag here as even though my horse won, it paid weak $5.00. The Daily Double in front paid $115. The one in back $95. Should have split funds...Oh well, woulda, but didn't. Like hitting a single on a middle of the plate slider. Next...Best Wishes...OF

Pinny is a great shop, but if I had my own biz,I would want a square clientelle who would lay 200 and take 170. good for the player,no. But would be great for me!

Apollo, I walk around very slowly, usually with my head bowed. Jumping is not my forte. Worst broad jumper in my high school class. I do not parachute, balloon, skydive or anything else involving jumping. I bet horses, is that close enough? Best Wishes...OF

On a serious note, bet Pinny matchup's same race, Little Foxy Baby vs. Yogi's. While I was capping those two, this horse just stood out. Had a lot to offer vs. field and at 3-1. Del Mar is my toughest track, rarely find any value. It was there in DD's. My mistake. Just a small fry horse player. Prefer the matchups...Best Wishes...OF

appolo - The Frog strikes me as the bridge jumping type when it comes to betting horses, I could be wrong.
