It would be a first, but keeping his mouth closed would be a great choice Willie. He never seems to avoid commenting about things he doesn't know anything about. The Easter comments provided a lesson but he's still moving his lips without thinking. He shouldn't say anything about the NFL season playing or not playing. Especially since it's early April.
And if he shut-up and kept his mouth shut, his detractors would start complaining that he's MIA, he's hiding, he's too scared to lead.....

The press isn't there to do Trump any favors. When asked, he could say I don't know, and defer to maybe Roger Goodell, Jerry Jones, Robert Kraft, various other owners, or the NFLPA to provide further insight. Leaders often should defer and deflect when possible. I realize this is a sports gambling website, but with the current crisis, Trump has far more important issues to discuss than sports. I didn't vote for Obama, but he was an expert with that approach. I like Trump, but he is awful at opening his mouth too much. He stuck with the "We have this virus under control" narrative far too long. The Easter comments also displayed Trump's speak first, think last method.
