As Lee Corso always says, "Not so fast my friend".

From USA Today/CNN/ Gallup poll, Feb. 19th:

If they held election:

Kerry would get 55% of votes to 43% for Bush
Edwards would win 54% to 44%.

Actually, this will be last mention of polls by me. There's a long time between now and elections. I don't put much stock in them either way at this point.

Wasn't the Gallup Poll the one that showed Kerry ahead of Edwards by 30% just prior to the Wisconsin Primary?

Smith Indicted

FLORIDA: MECHANIC INDICTED FOR GIRL'S DEATH

An auto mechanic accused of killing an 11-year-old Sarasota girl whose abduction was captured on a car wash surveillance camera was indicted on a first-degree murder charge. Prosecutors said for the first time that they believed that the mechanic, Joseph P. Smith, 37, raped the girl, Carlie Brucia, and that she was strangled with a cord or rope. Dennis Nales, an assistant state attorney, declined to say if prosecutors would seek the death penalty. Mr. Smith's lawyer said his client would plead not guilty at his arraignment, set for March 12. (AP)

If this animal is convicted, John Kerry would be opposed to frying him.

OK, I'll concede that it was no landslide, but we'll graciously accept the victory.

The American people have spoken. Republicans will now dominate the White House and Congress.

Wil, D2 - let's now tone down the rhetoric and search for some common ground.
