Yea, with the 2 favorites in the top 3, the payout wasn't going to be great. I would assume this is because a lot of money in the Tri Pool consisted of people with tri boxes that included both the 3 and the 5 - so even though the 1 got in there and probably wasn't used as much, it still didn't pay crazy amounts
I was at the track yesterday (drunken shitshow but that's another story)...horrible ride by Mario on nyquist..getting caught up setting .22 fractions was suicide..

Exactly right. That is the whole story here, Nyquist took this on like a 7f race! WTF?!?!?!?? Mario G may never ride him again after that. Maybe Exgrtr wins anyway- he did get his preferred surface -- but Nyquist un-did himself by cooking through those fractions. Couldn't you just see Kent D licking his chops after the half went in 46 ? He started moving earlier than planned I think but he was not going to wait too much longer either way. They knew they had it at that point. Loved CWine getting the bob for second otherwise tri and supy wold have paid like $8.
