Poster Owes You Money...

Lets say you made a bet with another member of this board, someone who seems to be pretty well respected around here and posts a lot. The bet was made about 6 months ago and he first told you he would need some time to pay you, however, he did keep in contact with you and he said he did plan on paying you. Then for the past few months he's just completely avoided you and now shows no sign that hes going to pay you. Its a weird situation but I guess not all that surprising....

Do you think I'm beat? Kinda weird since he told me he would pay me about 5-6 times and if he really wanted to stiff me, stringing me along for 4 months seems like a waste of his time. It's decent # to me so hopefully I could get it, but I'm probably drawing dead right now I'd have to think.

If you don't get it, what do you do? Obviously my recourse is pretty damn limited since its the internet....

Anyways, any opinion/thought is appreciated.....

I think it's your own fault for making a wager with someone on a website.

Time and time again it is preached not to do such here on this forum.

Also, if you actually made the wager on the forum, you could be breaking the law.

You can post who it is so other posters will berate him until he squares up to salvage what's left of his reputation. Btw, who the heck makes a bet they don't have the money to pay for? Never understood that

just forget the entire thing and learn from it. you took risk reward scenerio took a shot at a wager you liked with the risk of not getting paid factored in (hopefully you thought about that) and it did not work out... move on.

yeah, well i've bet with folks on here. overall its a losing proposition. there are some old school mofo's on here though that understand what honor means.

the little speech wil posts every time two folks get ready to bet each other really should be taken more seriously though. maybe instead of being so long it should just say.

This is only evidence.

I have read all his threads.

Jake never answered nor did the detroit guy in the thread...it had to have been through email////which wil or mods would know if they exchanged emails....so we could continue our quest there.

To be honest...this bet doesnt even cash yet...so not really sure what he ment by waiting for months for money...it still isnt real money owed yet.

but then again this could not be the bet.

On top of your game Wil, as always!!!! Thought I was in the rubber room.

In my humblest opinion, without having any proof or evidence, its that guy that had thousands of systems...most of the judges I deal with tell me to re-phrase most of my questions when I'm cross examining. I guess I need to work on that over here as well.
