Warriors fired up for Bucks' visit Friday By The Sports Xchange
Milwaukee bucked the NBA trend and dealt the Golden State Warriors their first loss of the season. Now it's the Warriors who are eagerly awaiting their shot at the Bucks.
"Michael Carter-Williams getting a dunk at the end of the game and looking at our bench like, 'Dude you lost your spot,'" Warriors center Draymond Green said of Carter-Williams losing his job as a starter. "So, it's not quite common that you should be looking toward someone's bench yelling. You've got some ground to make up."
The entire team has talked about Carter-Williams dunk, stare and smirk at the Warriors' bench at Milwaukee last week, when the Bucks snapped Golden State's 28-game winning streak. Shooting guard Klay Thompson, who scored 43 points Wednesday in a win over the Phoenix Suns, took a serious tone when revisiting last week's loss.
"We're looking forward to it, man," Thompson said. "Obviously a team that gave us our one in the loss column, and we felt they could have won with a little more class.
"There's nothing wrong with the dunk, but the stare-down, trying to talk nasty in the game like that. And it's like, 'All right, you're going to see us next Friday and in our building, too.'"
