Sorry you don't get PMs ric. Took me 4eva to write that. Damn. Just wanted to let you know a few deets I don't really want to post in here.
The packing came out. Don't know if ER doc inserted correctly. I had to blow the left nostril when clotting material migrated from packed in right nostril. I couldn't hock it up. When I blew gently a mountain of crap came out. And even though I covered right nostril the tampon ejected. I am not bleeding currently but feel it may resume momentarily.
Not on blood thinners.
Can't cauterize b/c docs can't find source. Probably a posterior bleed.
Also it's commonly thought high BP causes these bleeds but studies I found online show the reverse is true. The bleed and the experience and fear in the ER is what spikes the BP.
I don't know how this ends.
I was put on 10mg lasix twice a day for swelling in one leg. Not really pissing from it at all, while beforehand I was up every hour at night.
Going to see cardiologist about possible rightside heart failure. Also a sleep study. But gotta stop these bleeds first!
BP was 124/82 in brother's office yesterday when we drew blood.
BP was 142/102 in ER last night but returned to normal without the labetalol this time. 3 years ago on first serious bleed of 3 now was b4 I ever took BP meds. In ER I was 190/100.
I took Benecar, inneffective, switched to Azor 5/40, worked well for a year. After latest bleed am now on Irbesatan 300 and Amlodipine 5mg. But again, if the bleed is causing the pressure spikes than maybe what pill I take won't matter.
