You guys think like a loser. (Sorry, not you directly NYG, quoted you to answer your question and saw the other posters below).
If I am liking a game at -7 I am buying to -6.5 every time. If I liking a game at +7, I am buying 7.5. What does juice matter if it's a winner? I also will not sit at 3. I don't want to sweat a game and end up with a push.
I try so hard to stay out of these conversations, but you are thinking like a loser (with all due respect)...
The juice matters a lot if its a winner because you are in it for the long haul not just today. In fact, you only pay the juice when you win...if you risk $110 and lose then you lose $110. If you risk $110 dollars and win, you only get back $100 and they take 10 percent of your hard earned winnings. The idea that you pay the juice if you lose is a mind game to make gamblers make bad choices for short term reasons, guaranteeing that they will pay long term.
I'm not really up for going into a long math class here, but do you think your book offers you the option to buy points because it is mathematically in your favor?
At the end of the day you have to understand that these things aren't a matter of opinion, they are a matter of mathematical fact, so might as well give the books the smallest edge possible :toast:
