Sure he hits a bad segment like the noon games today, 1-4. Then 4pm 2-2. But he usually comes through with a Sun, Mon, and Thurs night winning segment, then a 11-4 NCAA the next week, then a good NFL on Sunday.
Bet small-medium wagers until you get ahead, then as the season progresses, increase to large as you see fit. Playoffs and bowl games, you should be ahead and then bet BIG.
(quit acting like assh*les when he loses a few, it's football, some games are close as hell, he does not know which ref will throw a ridiculous PI for a 60 yard penalty, which RB will fumble without being touched, which coach will screw up the timeouts and miss being able to get a FG in before halftime...)
