Would it be in poor taste to come into this thread requesting an elbow and two knees?

Zippy, Don’t you think at your age you’d look silly with such small body parts?

DUBAI (Reuters) - The United States said on Tuesday it was disturbed by anti-U.S. hostility voiced by Iran's top leader after a nuclear deal, as both countries' top diplomats sought to calm opposition to the accord from hardliners at home.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said a speech by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Saturday vowing to defy American policies in the region despite a deal with world powers over Tehran's nuclear program was "very troubling".
"I don't know how to interpret it at this point in time, except to take it at face value, that that's his policy," he said in the interview with Saudi-owned Al Arabiya television.
"But I do know that often comments are made publicly and things can evolve that are different. If it is the policy, it's very disturbing, it's very troubling," he added.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the highest authority in Iran, told supporters on Saturday that U.S. policies in the region were "180 degrees" opposed to Iran's, in a Tehran speech punctuated by chants of "Death to America" and "Death to Israel".
Under the accord reached in Vienna last week, Iran will be subjected to long-term curbs on its nuclear program in return for the lifting of U.S., European Union and U.N. sanctions. The deal was signed by the United States, Britain, China, France, Germany and Russia.
It was a major policy achievement for both U.S. President Barack Obama and Iran's pragmatic elected President Hassan Rouhani. But both leaders have to sell it at home to powerful hardliners in countries that have been enemies for decades, referring to each other as the "Great Satan" and a member of the "Axis of Evil".
In the case of Iran, the deal must win final acceptance from the National Security Council and ultimately Khamenei, who has so far withheld final judgment, thanking the negotiators while saying the text must still be scrutinized and approved.
In the United States, Republicans who control Congress have lined up against the deal, but Obama says he will veto any attempt to block it.
Kerry also has the task of selling the agreement to skeptical U.S. allies in the region. Israel is implacably opposed, and Arab allies of the United States such as Saudi Arabia, ruled by Sunni Muslims, are suspicious of an arrangement that would benefit their Shi'ite, non-Arab rival Iran, which they accuse of fomenting sectarian conflict.
The Secretary General of the six-member Gulf Cooperation Council of regional Arab states, Abdullatif al-Zayani, said Khamenei's speech demonstrated "Iran's continued interference in the internal affairs of some Arab countries".
"Those statements don't help to build confidence for cooperative relations based on the principles of good neighborliness (and) non-interference in internal affairs," Zayani, a Bahraini general, was quoted as saying by Saudi news agency SPA.
Dore Gold, director-general of the Israeli foreign ministry, described Israel's opposition to the accord as a "major disagreement" with Washington over "a central pillar of foreign policy", but nonetheless sought to play down the rift with Israel's closest ally.
"All you can do in these situations is just tell your story, tell the truth," he said, adding that the rift should be handled "in a very careful way" and with "mutual respect".
ZARIF DEFENDS DEAL
Hatred of the United States has been one of the underlying tenets of the Iranian ruling system since the 1979 Islamic revolution. But Iran's nearly 80 million people voted overwhelmingly for Rouhani in 2013 on a promise to end the country's diplomatic isolation.
Mohammad Javad Zarif, the foreign minister who developed a warm rapport with Kerry during weeks of unprecedented face-to-face talks, defended the deal in Iran's hardliner-dominated parliament. He said most of Iran's conditions had been met, including so-called "red lines" set by Khamenei.
“We don’t say the deal is totally in favor of Iran. Any negotiation is a give and take. We have definitely shown some flexibility," the foreign minister said. "I tell you as I told the Supreme Leader, we did our best to preserve most of the red lines, if not all.”
Iran's Revolutionary Guards and other hardliners have started to attack the deal directly, criticizing a U.N. Security Council resolution passed on Monday endorsing it.
They may be trying to persuade Khamenei to block the deal by presenting it as having violated the "red lines" he set, particularly by leaving in place for several years a U.N. arms embargo and restrictions on Iran's missile program.
Zarif told lawmakers the U.N. resolution restricted only missiles designed to carry nuclear warheads, which would not affect Iran's conventional missile program.
Revolutionary Guard chief Mohammad Ali Jafari said on Monday, according to Tasnim news agency: "Some parts of the (resolution) draft have clearly crossed the Islamic republic's red lines, especially towards Iran's military capabilities."
Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior advisor to Khamenei on foreign affairs, broke a long silence on Tuesday and said the deal was "not without flaws”, although he did not reject it outright.
“No one can tell us which weapons we can have.... Except nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction, Iran will continue making all the missiles, fighter jets, anti-missile defense systems, tanks and other armored equipment it needs,” he was quoted as saying on the Supreme Leader’s website.
BUSINESS AS USUAL?
The prospect that sanctions will be lifted is spurring businesses to make plans to return to Iran.
In Paris, Laurent Fabius, who next week will make the first trip to Iran by a French foreign minister in 12 years, said having taken a hard line towards Tehran at the nuclear talks would not hurt France's businesses once sanctions are lifted.
"It's true that France was very firm," Fabius told France Inter radio. "Will French firms be penalized? My answer is no because in the past we had an important presence in Iran... You know, in foreign policy, I think you lose nothing in being respected."
French firms such as carmaker Puegeot and oil major Total had leading positions in the Iranian market before the United States and European Union imposed tighter sanctions in 2011.
Fabius will travel without an entourage of business leaders, unlike Germany's economy minister, Sigmar Gabriel, who took a large commercial delegation to Iran on Sunday as the first senior Western official to visit after the deal was agreed.
Gabriel's haste drew some domestic criticism: "Our economy minister wanting to explore business opportunities for German companies a few days after the nuclear deal is a dangerous signal to the region," said Paul Ziemiak, head of the youth wing of Chancellor Angela Merkel's conservative bloc, during a visit to Israel.
"Our Israeli partners are irritated at how easily the crises and the problematic role of Iran in the region is overlooked."

Obama to Planned Parenthood: 'God Bless You'

"As long as we've got to fight to make sure women have access to quality, affordable health care, and as long as we've got to fight to protect a woman's right to make her own choices about her own health, I want you to know that you've also got a president who's going to be right there with you, fighting every step of the way," said Obama. "Thank you, Planned Parenthood. God bless you."

Planned Parenthood rally / AP

Congressional Republicans are moving to pull millions in taxpayer funding from Planned Parenthood in the wake of investigative videos showing workers discussing the sale of baby organs.
Rep. Diane Black (R., Tenn.) introduced the Defund Planned Parenthood Act on Tuesday night just hours after a second undercover video was released showing a Planned Parenthood official pricing out baby organs. The bill would strip the nation’s largest abortionist of taxpayer dollars.
Planned Parenthood, which conducts about 300,000 abortions, has collected about $200 million from taxpayers since 2012, including about $30 million in grants in 2015.
“Over the last week, we’ve seen multiple videos showing its employees brazenly discussing the harvesting of aborted babies’ tissue and organs. But the truth is, Planned Parenthood’s culture of depravity runs much deeper than a couple of videos,” Black said. “The one-sided relationship between Planned Parenthood’s ever-growing bank account and American taxpayers must be severed.”
The non-profit Center for Medical Progress has released two undercover videos featuring actors representing prospective organ buyers having lunch with high-ranking Planned Parenthood officials.
The first video featured Dr. Deborah Nucatolasipping wine as she elaborated on how “we’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not going to crush that part, I’m going to basically crush below, I’m going to crush above, and I’m going to see if I can get it all intact.”
Nucatola is a senior director of medical services at the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and has cashed taxpayer checks as an Obama administration consultant, according to the Federalist. The second video, released on Tuesday, showed Dr. Mary Gatter discussing the pricing of fetal body parts and “less crunchy” techniques used to retrieve them.
Black said her four decades as a professional nurse motivated her to introduce the legislation. She is a member of the Pro-Life Caucus and has previously worked to remove government funding from the organization. The new legislation would “would enact an immediate moratorium on all federal funding for Planned Parenthood.”
“As a nurse, I’ve seen the big-abortion-industry’s shameful tactics with my own eyes. That is why, for two years now, I’ve sponsored the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act to address one of Planned Parenthood’s largest government revenue streams. I continue to urge passage of this legislation, but in light of these latest videos, we must take the fight a step further,” she said.
The first video sparked two congressional committee investigations into Planned Parenthood operations. Nucatola delved into how Planned Parenthood doctors altered their methods of abortion to preserve organs and that its local affiliates look to “do a little better than break even” on organ sales, which could run afoul federal law. Black said lawmakers should be proactive in denying taxpayer support to a billion dollar organization that derives its revenue stream primarily through abortion.
“I eagerly await the findings of this forthcoming investigation, but you know what, Mister Speaker? No matter, what it reveals, here’s the truth—Planned Parenthood has made a business out of destroying that which God has created,” she said.
Planned Parenthood did not return Washington Free Beacon request for comment.
The legislation drew applause from pro-life organizations, including former Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, who now serves as a vice president at the Susan B. Anthony List, a 501(c)(4) group that helps support pro-life political candidates.
“Two of Planned Parenthood’s doctors have made clear that abortions can be manipulated, for example by strategically ‘crushing’ or using a ‘less crunchy’ procedure, to harvest the organs of children in the womb. Their candid admission of vivisection illustrates the brutality of late term abortion. It also illustrates the level at which Planned Parenthood seeks to commodify unborn babies,” Musgrave said. “It is outrageous that Planned Parenthood—already a thriving abortion business—wants to profit off of the parts of these children and the same time they also receive $1.4 million in taxpayer dollars per day. We stand with Rep. Black in urging Congress to defund them immediately—along with extensive investigations.”

On Tuesday afternoon, Senator Harry Reid told reporters that recent undercover videos exposing Planned Parenthood officials discussing the sale of baby body parts for fun and profit do not "prove" any lawbreaking on the part of the organization:

"These politically motivated videos raises questions, but nothing I've seen indicates that Planned Parenthood violated federal law."

[h=1]PLANNED PARENTHOOD YANKS CORPORATE SPONSOR LIST AFTER COCA-COLA DROPS SUPPORT[/h]

[h=2]Until this Thursday, Planned Parenthood kept a list of corporate allies and sponsors on its website. Once Coca-Cola became the third corporation to ask to be taken off the list, Planned Parenthood took it down altogether.[/h]A snapshot of Planned Parenthood’s donation page archived one day ago touts support from very large corporations:
Matching Gifts
Double the size of your gift. Does your employer match charitable contributions? If so, please contact your Human Resources Department for more information about how your gift may be matched.

A partial list of companies with Corporate Matching Gift Programs includes: AT&T, Alcoa, American Express, Avon Products, Black & Decker, Circuit City, Citibank, Clorox, Coca-Cola, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Fidelity Investments, Ford Motor Company, Gannett, James River Corporation, Merck & Company, Microsoft Corporation, Motorola, Phillip Morris, T. Rowe Price, Prudential Insurance, Safeco Corporation, Sun Microsystems, Sunoco, Vanguard Group, Verizon, Washington Post Company, White & Case
The news organization Daily Signal contacted several companies on the list asking about their purported donations to Planned Parenthood in light of videos revealing the organization’s harvesting of fetal organs. Representatives from Xerox, Ford, and Coca-Cola deserted the abortion giant, saying they were “incorrectly listed as donors… They said their companies do not contribute to Planned Parenthood and do not match employee gifts to the organization. All three said they have contacted or will contact Planned Parenthood to be removed from its website.”
There are likely more desertions to come. Pro-life grassroots activists will likely keep calling and asking the remaining corporate giants from the list whether they support the sale of aborted baby parts for medical experimentation. But now that the list is down, the world will not know how many more corporations will ask to be taken off the list of Planned Parenthood supporters.
Since the gruesome videos began to appear last week, news has gone from bad to worse for the abortion giant. Two Congressional committees are investigating, along with eight state governments. A bill has been introduced in Congress to withhold Planned Parenthood funding for one year. That would cost the $1.3 billion dollar a year nonprofit corporation $500 million.

[h=1]FIORINA ON PLANNED PARENTHOOD VIDS: YOU NEVER CARED ABOUT ROMNEY’S HEAVILY EDITED VIDEO[/h]

On “Fox News Sunday,” former Hewlett-Packard CEO and Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina had a heated debate with the EMILY’s List Vice President Jess McIntosh about the recent undercover videos that exposed Planned Parenthood doctors discussing the price of fetal tissue.
Fiorina said, “This has nothing to do with whether you’re pro-choice or pro-life. This has to do with the moral foundation of our nation. If a woman was sitting outside of Planned Parenthood in her OB-GYN’s office looking at this ultrasound at the same point in her pregnancy, her doctor would say to her look at your baby. Look at its heartbeat. Look at its fingers and toes. Planned Parenthood has lobbied against a woman’s opportunity to look at an ultrasound before she makes an incredibly difficult choice to end the unborn life within her. And yet they are using that same technology to harvest body parts, which they claim are not a life, in order to sell them to save another life. It’s unbelievably hypocritical and I find it astounding that anyone can defend it.”
When McIntosh brought up the videos were edited Fiorina said, “I find it fascinating that Planned Parenthood, EMILY’s List and the rest of the pro-abortion lobby are now suddenly so concerned about a heavily edited video. I don’t recall them ever being concerned about a heavily edited video of Mitt Romney at a fund-raiser. I don’t remember them being concerned about Edward Snowden. We’ve had a lot of things where information has come out that we needed to see. So instead of going after the people who have put out this video information we clearly need to see, let’s talk about the issue here. Of course they’re trying to change the subject. Of course they’re trying to say this is life saving research. I find it amazing that this group of pro-abortion lobbyists continue to say that they are protecting women’s health. Really? late-term abortion is bad for women’s health. They continue to lobby against parental notification. Really? It’s protecting a teenager’s health that she can go to a tanning salon or a tattoo with her mother’s permission but get an abortion without her mother’s permission? This is not about someone else’s health. This is about a woman’s health. A woman’s opportunity to have all of the choices in front of her and it’s about a life that she is bearing.”
Fiorina continued, “Once again, I’m pro-life as you know but there are plenty of pro-choice women who are horrified by this as they should be. And by the way, after hours honestly. The fact that these officials can sit here swilling their wine, eating their salad, laughing over getting a Lamborghini and talk about specimens of fetal tissue, I find horrifying and the majority of Americans do as well.”
When McIntosh accused Fiorina of playing politics she said, “For heaven’s sake, the left side of the aisle politicians are involved all the time. EMILY’s list is involved in politics every single day and consistently EMILY’s list lobbies for pro-abortion candidates. There’s no justification anymore for federal funding of Planned Parenthood.”

On Tuesday afternoon, GOP hopeful Dr. Ben Carson appeared on The Lead with Jake Tapper on CNN to discuss the Planned Parenthood baby parts business model, and made some simple, obvious, but altogether inarguable points. One moment in particular stood out and was featured in a video Tuesday evening by Digitas Daily.

Jake Tapper, who is an excellent and competent interviewer, asked exactly the right question, and Dr. Carson gave exactly the right answer. Tapper asked whether Dr. Carson had an answer to whether defunding Planned Parenthood would be detrimental to people in poor areas based on Planned Parenthood's claim that they are the only provider of women's medical services. Dr. Carson's brief reply is pretty much a conversation ender.

"I thought that they were supposed to be able to get all those things based on Obamacare. Why do we need Planned Parenthood?"

Ted Cruz: Congress Should Use ‘Any Procedural Means Necessary to Defund Planned Parenthood’

http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article...any-procedural-means-necessary-defund-planned

“We should use every and any procedural means necessary to defund Planned Parenthood. It is unacceptable that federal taxpayer dollars are going to fund an ongoing criminal enterprise.”

“Planned Parenthood has been caught on video with its senior officials repeatedly confessing to what appear to be multiple felonies with long jail terms.”

“Federal taxpayer dollars should not go to funding the trafficking, the buying and selling of the body parts, the hearts, lungs, and livers of unborn children. It is shameful and it is time for Congress to stand up and be counted to lead and to listen to the American people.”

Nine More Undercover Videos Ready To Drop On Planned Parenthood

http://dailycaller.com/2015/07/29/nine-more-undercover-videos-ready-to-drop-on-planned-parenthood/

WASHINGTON — David Daleiden, founder of the Center For Medical Progress (CMP), told conservative talk radio host Sean Hannity Tuesday there are nine more sting-operation videos that reveal Planned Parenthood’s operations.

“We have close to 300 hours total of undercover video that was gathered during a 30 month long in depth investigative journalism study of how Planned Parenthood sells the body parts of the babies they abort,” Daleiden said, noting that each highlight video released will have the full footage posted on their website without any edits.

CMP has already released three videos showing Planned Parenthood officials, personnel, and doctors discussing the harvesting of aborted baby parts. Congress proposed legislation Wednesday to defund Planned Parenthood’s abortion activity and moving the money to community health centers and hospitals instead.

Planned Parenthood has hired a Washington D.C. based crisis management firm to deal with the fallout.

When asked by Hannity about criticism on whether local recording laws could harm CMP, Daleiden responded, “Every taping we did during this project was done in full compliance with the local recording laws. The video specifically from the pathology lab at the Planned Parenthood clinic that was included today, that was done in Denver, Colorado, which is a one party consent state, which is completely applicable.”

Daleiden added, “The California law is about confidential communications not those that can be overheard by anyone walking by, such as a situation in a crowded restaurant like the situations in the two previous tapes.”
