Yup.

Both coming off arm issues. Elbow I believe with Salazar, Wright a shoulder.

Laying over -150 with a pitcher coming off a shoulder issue is nuts. Those that say price is meaningless in baseball are just as nuts.

Updating from Friday, solid 1st inning against the returning Wright sets up nicely for bringing everything home expect for the Over (though I think it closed at a 9...not positive though, so calling an "L" as it opened at 9.5 and all I can confirm now.)

Full Game - 6-7
1st 5 - 7-4-2
O/U - 8-5
TT O/U of opposing team - 7-5-1
Ham/Well - 7-6

Don't see anything today, but it appears have a load returning within the next two weeks:

Chris Tillman - O's
John Lackey - Cubs
Alfredo Simon - Reds (have to imagine he will be a dog though)
Lance McCullers - Astros
Junior Guerra - Brewers - sched. 9/2
Steven Matz - Mets - sched. 9/1
Tyler Glasnow - Pirates
Matt Cain - Giants - sched 9/2
Jake Peavy - Giants (may be BP return)
Alex Cobb - Rays - (been two years, was originally sched this past weekend but didn't happen.)
Colby Lewis - Rangers - sched. 9/3
Steven Strasburg - Nats

And no guarantees, but keep an eye on Kershaw and Sonny Gray. And Danny Salazar made yet another trip to DL after Sunday.

Matt Moore coming off a near no hitter, throwing a lot of pitches. Its not a layoff play, but its another play I like. Playing against pitchers that threw a no hitter or came damn close. Especially if it was a taxing effort, He threw 130+ pitches.

Oddly enough, Moore is facing the returning Shelby Miller. Now Miller is making his first start after 6 weeks, but this is not due on a DL stint. He was simply sent down to AAA at the All Star break due to being ineffective. I don't believe this qualifies, but will defer to Biz.

It doesn't. Being sent down is different, we are only looking at guys with injuries.

Hey Biz, curious if you have seen any trend with pitchers getting sent down then being recalled. Was wondering if their issues are usually fixed or if they still pitch poorly. I liked the angle on this game to play the Diamondbacks but couldn't bring myself to play it because of how bad Shelby Miller has been (plus their bullpen). Coaches said he fixed some stuff in the minors and his stats looked solid though.

I don't have any data.

But I would think they pitch pretty well. It makes no sense to bring a guy back up if he isn't ready. I know Berrios for Minnesota has struggled a bit since being recalled, very young pitcher, but his first start back as a big dog VS Cleveland was a win. I had a play on him that night, reasons other than the recall.

If a guy is sent down, they won't bring him back until he has shown that he has corrected whatever issues they may have had. Unless the big club is desperate for pitching (injuries for example)

Thanks, that's my thinking too. Looks like Shelby pitched well but Dbacks couldn't get much of anything off of Moore. Their pen may have pretty much blew any shot of coming back now as well.

Returning Friday 9/2:

Alex Cobb (Rays) at home vs Liriano and the Blue Jays. Hasn't pitched since 2014.
Matt Cain (Giants) at Chicago vs. Lester.
Junior Guerra (Brewers) at Pittsbugh vs. Taillon.

Haven't seen lines yet but I would anticipate all being significant dogs thus no play via the thread's angle. Guerra is the only one that may be a reasonable dog, but I'm anticipating in the neighborhood of -150, maybe -135 at best.

Overs or TT of the opposing team may be an option to look at, but those lines obviously not on board yet.

Got one tonight Gents, Gonzales for the Palehose, been out nearly a month with a strained groin (sounds like some serious phucking if ya ask me, lol). I'm gonna roll the dice with the Tigers. GL

Thx for these updates.

Agree many look like dogs. If you want to make the other team a dog by taking -1.5 that may not be a bad idea either. Not a bad idea Vandy

LMAO, I've been called a lot worse at the RX. I think (and bet) these two will be winners tonight. Biz, ya got an online trading position, check out WATT asap, I think the cow is about to jump over the moon with them, early as tomorrow when Apple announces the new iPhone 7. Worse case scenario, you hang on for 6-12 months for an easy doubler, I'm actually thinking 5x. GL

Looking ahead to tomorrow.....Strasburg making his 1st start since 8/17 when he got shelled at Colorado (and was bad 2 prior starts as well). Would expect a pitch count but don't know what Nats are thinking.

Get all that one ya want, Fanatic (Philly that is, LOL), but that could be a shutout all the way up to 15 runs. I remember being on a forum, can't remember if it was the RX or maybe Wagerline when he made his debut and everyone was going bonkers, the guy was throwing it up to 105. What time will do to a person. GL
