Oregon St. finished in the top 25 for the last 2 years. Won more games those years than anyone in the conference except USC. Also won their bowl games and covered with ease. As a matter of fact, they have one of the longest bowl winning streaks in CFB and they don't hold a candle to who?

USC has proven themselves to be one of the top if not the top program in CFB this decade and they proved it on the field time and time again, year after year. Why shouldn't the press and ESPN expect more of the same?
What has Alabama done over the past several years to deserve the same recognition? Zip. Nada. This is the FIRST year they've actually taken on some decent OOC competition and you expect them to receive the same recognition as USC who's been doing it for years? You are an idiot if that's what you expect. People won't change their minds in a day. Do you really think that? It takes years.
One reason why ESPN and the press gives USC all the attention it gets is because USC gives them marquee games to cover every year, and I mean games that people all over the country want to see, not just a bunch of drunks in the south watching some backwoods dogfight that means more to them than anyone else. You might think your teams are all there is that's worthwhile in football but your fans damn sure are not.
