your post is the one that makes no sense. if a ball is thrown at the head, like you claim and the player ducks and twists, like YOU claim, then the ball would fly well over the top of the player who ducks out of the way of a ball thrown at his head. It would not be close.

.. but he didn't - the ball comes in around 90 MPH ... you don't have a whole lot of time, he turned ducked his head (i'm talking inches here) and it hit his back (or maybe just the jersey, it's tough to tell) & clipped the top of the helmet (and the bat too, i believe)

why you can't watch a damned instant replay and see the pitch was not dangerous is beyond me though. "purpose" type pitches happen. they should not be at the head and this one was not. not even close. watch it again.

Your comments on fans hating the Yanks & the Sox being closer to America's team is ridiculous.
Yes, we are hated alot but that isn't the point. Players, coaches, organizations, etc want to win titles & that is what we do period!
The hatred comes from jealous fans who cry because their team can't & won't ever match what the Yankess have done as an organization.

Bottom line Pedro lost, Clemmons won, we learned who guts it out and who takes games off for a sore throat. Clemmons is and always will be a winner and a BIG GAME pitcher.
