I don't know about the other contests BROWN EYE but the Marty contest is 17 picks over an entire season. Anyone's winning record over 17 picks, whether they go 0-17 or 17-10 means absolutely nothing. Were the Packers overrated? Yes. To throw around terms like "greatest team ever" when the defense was horrible and their play down the stretch was questionable is ridiculous. To be a 7+ point favorite at home in a playoff game and get owned, by an good team (NOT great), even when the refereeing was HIGHLY questionable in your favor, is proof that public perception was off a bit.
Has the recent Packers run been great, and are they a great team? Yes. The fact that the Giants beat GB @ GB, and countless other examples (in every sport, but especially the NFL), proves that any team can beat any other team on any given day. One could actually argue that this makes the last 13 months by the Packers even MORE impressive. To win 19 of 21 games (or whatever it is) demands a declaration of greatness.
Bottom line is you're both right and you're both wrong. Instead of arguing over it, which makes you all look like petulant fools, let's get back to making money.

Wild Card teams winning Super Bowls is not unheard of which means that a lot of Number 1 home teams have lost at home. The Giants were also a team I feared and it was where my $$ was also. I not only took the points and went with the Giants but I took the Giants at 60/1 Super Bowl and 25/1 NFC recently. As a matter of fact I took the $ 300 2 nd. place in the EZ street contest on that same game. This year's Giant team has already beat the mighty Patriots in Foxborough. I started this thread and as the Title suggests, my main point was that the Packers had a horrible game. I also voiced my opinion that the 3 week layoff was a big part of the reason why Rodgers and his receivers were well off their best performance. To call a Super Bowl defending champion that went 15-1 this year Over Rated is simply not true ! They had a horrible game and their rustiness is part of the reason IMHO.
