Did I say crappy? I said they were 5-0 ATS, and that they would soon lose. Well, since then 0-6 ATS and they lost twice. I also said they do not matchup with the Pistons. How could an overated team like the Pacers be crappy. They make me lots of money. Best Wishes...Go Pacers!!!...OF

wasnt directed at you necessarily OF...

just seems to be the perception out there, that since the Pacers play ugly, they arent good..

Yet they keep proving everyone wrong....

Did they prove themselves against 10 games under 500 Celts or playoff inexperienced Heat? In my mind, they have proven nothing. There were exactly two contenders in the East. They are playing each other now. I took Pistons to win series at +2.15. I told you I would start fading Pacers after they went 5-0 ATS. I think Pacers guards are the achilles heel of this squad, and the strength of Motown. Wade had his way all series long. Line is dropping on Pacers, series price barely moved after game #1. Currently I would say the Pacers stock is dropping. No knock against you, them or anyone. I am just trying to remain profitable...Best Wsihes BF67...your a good guy...OF

Guess it is my turn to bring this old thread up. Pacers now 0-7 L7 ATS, if you were a smart shopper. +2.15 Motown for series is nice now. If a team has failed to cover the number 7 straight games, losing as a favorite three times, would it be safe to say they are overated? Best Wishes...OF

no, i dont think they are overrated at all, i think they are underrated....

but we will never agree on this subject, i am happy for you that my team lost, that should make your day...

I could care less what their record is ats, they dont award NBA championships based on the "spread"......

and last time i checked, the series is best out of 7.......not lose 1 out of 2 and you are out.......

Whether u like them or not, the Pacers had the best record in basketball, and they win...They play ugly, but they win......If they lose this series (which i dont think they will) then it happens......doesnt mean they are overrated...

You dont like them, thats fine, but im gonna quit trying to defend my team having the best record in basketball.....

Will i be dissappointed if they dont win it all? yes i will, cuz i think they can...

Wont change the fact that they are a good team....I cant help what the oddsmakers make them on a game.....thats the oddsmakers problem......

celebrate tonight, because my team lost, and i know that makes u happy, but there are still games to be played....

Best record in regular season, what does that get you, homecourt throughout. Oops, lost that tonight. So now Motown has what the best record gets. You keep saying I do not like them. It has nothing to do with like, As I am basically heartless. What they do is make me lots of money. Which would not be happening if they were not overated. Let me try this again. The Indiana Pacers are OVERATED and do not matchup with the Detroit Pistons. Pistons are the better team, and what about crunchtime hero R-E-G-G-I-E. Nice slam/layup or whatever he was trying to do. Mr. Clutch. Hero one day, goat the next. My hero Rip Hamilton, just ripped Reggie again. It is not about liking, hating or rooting for the homers. It is about remaining consistently profitable. I love the Pacers...OF

I also like you bf67. I respect your misguided loyalty.

Well, time to bring out my favorite thread. Do I like the Pacers, I love them. Even the squares won with the Pistons. Indy was actually blown out most of the game. R-E-G-G-I-E just stunk it up again. Did he get 3 points? Did he defend Rip well? Indy fans, here is one big hole. Number two, Foster. What kind of big man is he? He got played bigtime tonight everywhere. What a stiff. So here are the Pacers, marching, into loser land. If you have the best record in the entire NBA, and do not even make the Finals, are you overated? OF

Love them Pacers...0-8 L8 ATS

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) Jermaine O'Neal bounced back for the Indiana Pacers. His teammates didn't.

O'Neal had 24 points and nine rebounds one game after a scoreless second half but none of his teammates scored more than 13 points in Detroit's 85-78 victory over Indiana on Wednesday night in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference final.

The All-Star forward was 7-of-17 from the field and 10-of-11 at the line.

O'Neal's teammates combined to make just 18 of 55 shots as Detroit took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Game 4 is Friday night at The Palace.

Indiana's Ron Artest scored 13, about seven below his playoff average, and reserve Al Harrington also had 13. Jamaal Tinsley added 12 points.

Reggie Miller, whose tiebreaking 3-pointer with 31.7 seconds remaining lifted Indiana to a win in Game 1, was 1-of-4 for three points.

The Pacers counted on O'Neal this season when they earned the best record in the East, and he often came through.

In his fourth season with Indiana and eighth in the league, he averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds during the regular season and finished third in voting for NBA MVP.

He was extremely motivated to play well Wednesday night after being held scoreless and missing all eight of his shots in Game 2.

O'Neal got off to a strong start with eight points in the first quarter while his teammates scored just six, allowing Detroit to jump out to a 27-14 lead.

He scored another six in the second quarter, to keep the Pacers in the game.

After a quiet, three-point third, O'Neal helped Indiana's come back in the fourth quarter with 10 points.

bump my favortie thread for my little green friend, who although says he wont post anymore, i believe he is "still with us" if u know what i mean.....

Those over rated pacers have gotten off the mat, and regained home court in the series, in resounding fashion......

I doubt that Rasheed guaranteed this would happen...

as a lakers fan i am rooting for the pacers to make the finals because they would be MUCH easier to beat than the pistons.

lakers beat indy in NO MORE than 5 - and maybe even a sweep. lakers would go no more than 6 against detroit. i say this because indy would have HCA - lakers would (at worst) split in indy then end it in LA. if lakers play stones - they go 2-0 in LA and get at least 1 in MI if not 2. but then lakers would win it in 6.

either way - based on all we have seen in the wnba champ series - neither of these teams will be anything more than a speedbump against the lakers!

Well, I have returned to close the curtain on this thread. I can no longer like the Pacers. I really did not need that last garbage hoop, as 5 or 6 were middlers. Oh Well. Pacers go fishing. Knucklehead Carlisle again proved why he can't coach in the conference finals. He is now 2-12. Better than 0-8 like he was for Motown. But, he read my posts, and benched large hole Foster. He got 1 minute tonight? And R-E-G-G-I-E? He just stunk it up the entire series, except for the game one miracle. But in those 4 losses? Rip just ate him up, and reggie just missed clutch trey after trey. But my super goat has to be Ron FailedTest. You are either a primetime player, or you are not. No gray areas Ron. You sucked. Every game, you sucked. I know, the Pacers got hurt, but Motown came into the series hurt. Is my +2.15 for series discounted for injuries? No freakin excuses for these losers. Best record in NBA, proven, have what it takes to go all the way. I never laughed so hard in all my life. Yes, I too, for a brief moment took these losers at 5.5 to 1 to win it all. But I soon realized that ticket was destined for the burn barrel. I bought some Motown at 16.5-1. And 3 units at 2.15-1 in series to offset 2 units lost on Pacers. I doubt anybody got much higher. Well now that I cashed, again, I feel sad that the Pacers took this early exit. I feel the season was wasted, the best record a mere afterthought. Now it is handwringing, excuses for the denial dumasses, and wait til next season for the loayal misguided optimists like bucsfan67. Sure he will try to put some lame spin on how this turned out OK, or how the season was a success. Listen, homer, it was a failure. You Pacers fans got to watch your overated team get exposed, over and over. It is sort of a good thing, as Pacer basketball, if you think that is an oxymoron so do I, is just downright ugly. Zero entertainment value. A cure for insomnia. This will not be missed, and should be outlawed. But coach Carlisle could f--- up a wet dream. He will figure out something worse for next year. Pay R-E-G-G-I-E to retire. To see him go down in flames this series, barely get 25 minutes in a deciding game #6. He used to be great, now he is not even good. And Foster? As that what they use for centers in the East? Oh vey. Well, great thread as I once again proven my NBA wise guy approach earns more than the loyal fan approach. And education for all...Best Wishes...OF

A special thanks to bucsfan67, who made it possible and entertaining. I needed a straight man. Thanks bud.
