BillDozer, agree with you 100%, they completely shut them down, in April, held them to season low points. O'neal looks great with Boston's post defenseless, With Ben and Sheed it will be much different. Pistons just more atheltic and physical, they have been pushing Pacers around for a couple of years, before Sheed. If I was not afraid of game #7 in Indy, would bet it. That being said, just not enough value for me. Best Wishes...OF

Maybe we will get a good series price. I'm not too fond of series prices but I did get Nuggets +2350

I'm thinking, or projecting if they meet, Pacers -1.30. Norammly on these tight series it is about equal to a game #7 ML price. Pacers about a 1 1/2 to 2 point fave in a game #7. Pure conjecture, but all I can do now. I think you are in huge trouble on that Nugget future. Nuggets remind me of Grizz. And TWolfs get past first round this time. Best Wishes...OF

The Indiana Pacers open up the 2004 playoffs today, against their Team President's former team, the Boston Celtics...

You can count on Indiana trudge toward the NBA Finals to be about as much of a struggle as most of their games....

But in the long run it will be just as successful...

It wont be pretty, games will be low-scoring (for the most part), defensive struggles, scoring droughts, and thats just the way the Pacers like it......In a year when Reggie Miller has taken a back-seat to emerging stars Ron Artest, and Jermaine O'Neal, and sophmore point gaurd Jamal Tinsley, expect him to see more time in the playoffs, and be much more rested.......And dont fool yourself, even in the twilight of his career, when the Pacers need a clutch shot, u can believe Reggie will be one of the 2 players they turn to, and if they need a 3, its all R-E-G-G-I-E....The guy can still drain it when the game is on the line.....

Conseco Fieldhouse will be rocking today, as we have one of the smaller stadiums, we do have avid fans of our Pacers around here, and people realize this is Reggie's best shot at finally getting a ring.......

A matchup with Detroit is most likely on the Horizon for the Pacers, but the Celtics come first.....And after being bounced by the Celtics in the playoffs most recently, this could prove SWEET REVENGE.....

Yes, knew that was coming. Tell you the truth, I thought kid that cheap shotted O'Neal should have been ejected, suspended, and benched for rest of playoffs, unless he was coached to do that. Huge momentum swing, really fired up Pacers. They can spread his points around but his D on Pierce will be sorely missed. Celts may just make a better showing in game two. They were 1 point off when cheap shot occured. Still, they should make conf finals. Best Wishes...OF

Pacers with 3 strong games so far, ready to advance on Sunday...

Pistons struggle in game #2, and have lost home court advantage to the Bucks..

Big game tomorrow in Milwaukee, Bucks need to show it was no fluke.....But Pistons still a favorite in the series, but Bucks proved they can hang.......Will give Pacers more time to rest, and Nets look like will have rest before battling the Pistons, should they advance..

Word to the wise - Pacers had better not take the Heat lightly. Stan Van Gundy has done wonders with the team, should be a good series.

Indiana will get its first test in the next round. This series was like a bye. 36-47 Boston stinks bigtime.

Sweep is the overwhelming favorite. IMO, Indy 'upstairs powers that be' would just as soon lay down in game four, come back and win the series in front of the home crowd. Who knows. One deal's for sure though - the 36-47 Celtics are doormats disguised as a playoff team. No way they beat the Pacers four straight in this series, including two at Indy. So I'm for the home crowd option. Win in five, still have time to rest. I'm just rambling away today. Sorry.

You are correct Wil.

Doesn't matter whom. To be the best, you must beat the best.

Bump this for our old friend Omnivirous Frog, who still has blinders on about my Pacers..

They win by 13, after an 11 day layoff, and he feels they were outplayed and outcoached...

I agreed with someone else's post. Just do not see erratic Tinsley shooting well throughout the series. Boards and hustle seemed to be on team with no rest. I thought this was a sweep, do not think that anymore. Pacers still favored as East's sacrificial lamb in the Finals. Miami looked much better than I thought they would after tough #7 game series. Pacers do not matchup well with Motown. And they better dispatch this Heat squad quickly. I respect the Pacers, they have gone 5-0 ATS, against a 10 game under 500 team, and a squeaker over a team coming out of a brutal series. I know, right now, I will be fading the Pacers next few games. Best Wishes...OF

I thank them for rolling over at end of game, again. 11 1/2 was good. Pacers lose one very soon. Best Wishes...OF

thats much different from earlier when it was "overated pacers will be sacrificial lambs, etc."......I guess this was another squeaker since they only won by 11....

now we are down to "they WILL lose a game soon"....i certainly didnt expect them to go undefeated throughout the playoffs...

Simple fact, Pacers dont get the respect they deserve.....
