Adding Oregon St. -2.5*

Stanford has 2 starting OL's out for tonight and a DL is hurt too -- will miss the game. Their OL is the strength of the Cardinal team. I kinda think the Beavers will bring way too many offensive weapons into the game for the Trees to hang with anyway... but today's line move finally made me move my butt.

I'm very tempted to bet the 1st quarter too. Oregon St. outscored their opps something like 130-35 in the first quarter last season.

One last shameless plug for Oregon State's Fr. RB Jacquizz Rogers...

"Quizz" will get plenty of touches tonight. As the Texas high school player of the year last season set all kinds of prep records. His quickness and ability to cut on the run without missing a step reminds people of Barry Sanders or LT. Joined the Beavers mainly because his brother James ("Flysweep") Rogers attends there. Both will play in the same backfield. He's destined to become a star on You tube.

Last minute decision to play Or.St. when it went below 3 kept it human.
But I also parlayed the plays above and nailed a nice one to make up for it.... (really)
But I left off Tennessee on the parlay ticket. Probably should have played them too.

One more thing I saw Saturday was worth mentioning...
The play of Oregon Duck QB's Massoli and Harper turned out to be a stroke of genius on Bellotti and Kelly's part. After a while Massoli caught his rhythm and hit some very well thrown and sharp passes late in the game. Impressive. Also Chris Harper out lockered Jake Locker when he was in the game. Not by just a little either. As far as the Duck offense goes, the QB is just a position in the offense named quarterback. They are fast and talented all over, in that hurry up no-huddle offense they will wreak havoc wherever they play and I bet that's the truth. A few flubs here and there but that only means they will get better.
