I hear ya on that. I think the money was the kicker for me. Spending $300 every other day can put a dent in your bank account. Had many a hairy times in South Dallas in the early years. Seen some fucked up shit. I do feel blessed to get out for the most part unscathed.

Barman, I know u were addicted but to what? Cocayne can be addictive but eventually ur tired and go to sleep and not dying to do it the next day

I personally like flake (duh) but just use it if I'm out drinking with others and treat it the same as social drinking - plus girls love coke so it doesn't hurt to have a gram or two in ur pocket

Very true post. You are definitely not dying to do it the very next day. If you are drunk or buzzing really good a nice line will sober you up quick and get you straight again.

Addiction is different for everyone apparently. Or maybe the coke is different now than it was years ago. All I know is I did coke for about 2 1/2 years and was addicted for 1 1/2 years. And by addicted I mean I did coke every day for 1 1/2 years. All I ever thought about was when I was going to do my next line.

I was never much of a drinker during the years I used coke, which likely explains why it became even more problematic. Drinking alcohol while using coke makes for a much better experience and ability to relieve the jagged Urge to redose, redose, redose.

Just ask G W Bush....That was his M.O. for upwards of 20 years before he went cold turkey at age 40

Only time I mess with coke anymore is if pussy is involved. For some reason, never really fell in love with coke, which is crazy, but just did not care for the feeling I got out of it. Pills now on the other hand are the greatest things ever. I was up to a minimum of 10 perc 10's a day and usually much more. Got out of it right before graduating to Roxys or Oxys. Still take them when I have them, but I never go looking for them.
