Wow what made you move back to this dump? Anyways, is the traffic much worse than being stuck on I95 for no apparent reason at all at 2:30 on a random Tuesday? I can deal with traffic if there is a reason, but in CT it always seems to be random and constant.
hno:
My mother needed care being elderly ( now deceased). SD traffic gets very bad ( I lived there 1982-87). I still talk to a buddy out there, and he says its much worse now.
I'd say traffic in CT is a cakewalk compared to SD/LA. The worst in CT seems to be around Jennings rd in Hartford. Vegas has worse traffic than here. I didn't much like Phoenix, but didn't live there.
I'm looking at many places myself ( prefer warm). Leaving the US would be ideal, but not easy to do.
I'd consider anywhere on the coast from NC all the way to CA, and possibly AZ,NV,NM,Co, and the deep South. I'm not into the midwest or any states near the Canadian border ( but, I would live in Canada, if I could become a citizen... Vancouver perhaps).
Hawaii would be awesome, but I don't think I could afford it. The territorres are also an option.... like virgin islands, guam, maybe even Somoa.
Costa rica and the UK are also attractive.
My brother always said:
Connecticut is a good place..... to be from.
