Why was it the shit though? I've heard its expensive, but I've been looking for apartments out there on Craigslist and they arent bad. I'd have a roommate who wants to move West too so it would be 2 single bachelors. The women out there have to be better than here...And the beaches look insane

San Diego without a doubt. Cost of living and high taxes should not cause much sticker shock since you are moving from Connecticut. The women are plentiful, especially in the Pacific Beach area. Nightlife, scenery, weather, proximity to Vegas, Mexico, ect. Phoenix is not bad, but it is not SD.

Thanks for that info. Do you really live in PHX? I haven't been there but was told the nightlife is great and it's really cheap to live. I pay 750 a month for a shitty 1 bedroom on the third floor of an apartment here so if there were 2 of us and we paid 1500 I think we can get a decent place in SD...What would that get me in PHX if you have any idea...thx

I do live in Phoenix (Ahwatukee), and aside from the fact that it gets 115 degrees I have no complaints. The Scottsdale area has a great nightlife, and the cost of living is considerably cheaper than San Diego. I am not sure what 1500 per month would get you, but my guess is that you could rent a pretty nice pad in a happening part of town. Overall, I like living here. Five months out of the year the weather is pretty toasty, but the other 7 it is absolutely perfect. With that said, I still give the nod to SD.

I appreciate all the information. I just wonder what the negatives to SD are other than cost. I can deal with Mexicans I live in Hartford County hah

I can always hop a plane for Xmas and major holidays...I get a week off anyways for that. If I moved solo I could see your point but at least I'll know someone there

I like the Vegas vote too, but no input doesn't really help..Why Vegas? Other than its the sickest place in the country for a gambling sports fan like me haha

UM: I am also in CT for now, and hate it, looking to get out myself ( again).

I have lived in both SD and LV, and have been to Phoenix several times.

SD hands down is the place to be, but traffic is bad.
