its the gov and parents. my main problem with the country now is the gov. not efficient like a canada where people have moral and ethical values.

Have to disagree, eek. As the father of a 3 year old, I'm convinced that disciplining children with violence only begets more violence. It teaches them that violence is a solution to any problem. I ride the bus to work everyday with inner city mothers and their babies, and I can tell you that a day hardly goes by when I don't hear one of the moms threaten to slap or smack their kid upside their head, or actually witness them do it. And I guarantee you that 15 years from now many of those kids will be the ones causing problems in society.

That's not to say that disciplining isn't necessary, or that you shouldn't teach kids to defend themselves. But there are ways to do discipline without getting physical.

How many mothers have kept their kids in line with that old threat "Wait until your father gets home!" After a hard day at work, dear old Dad isn't in the mood to suffer foolishness - he'd kill the kids while the mother screams at him not to hurt them - a scenario as old as the family.

I was home schooled most of my life, then attended a private school in my senior years. But then I also spent two years in the European education system. In Europe teachers routinely hit students.

I wouldn't wish public education on my worst enemy.

BTW, I rarely hit my kids - having them stand in the corner or removal of nintendo or the phone was worse for them.

When they were younger I used to make them stand next to the TV and look at me while I watched cartoons - ten minutes of that was like forever to them - and I couyld only take about ten minutes of cartoon watching - but it did work - they've grown up to be pretty good kids.

It all started in the 60s...the re-engineering of boys in the name of egalitarianism has been a DISASTER and has damaged millions of men.

The only way to reform the system and restore a natural order from the ground up is by implementing a voucher system which will spawn thousands of private schools across America that will use Biblical principles and values in their curriculum. Parents know what's best for the children -- not government.

Remember, whatever the left funds, it controls. Public education = secular "progressive" curriculum.

Socialism = FAILURE.

color is irrelevant - the problem is policies that pay for the little bastards these useless pieces of crap parent. they'll always have kids, so the government should have policies that force them to be parents and pay for their kids - this will result in fewer bastards and more responsible parents.

BTW - any kid born out of wedlock is by definition a bastard - a shame the child carries for the senseless acts of the two idiots who parent them.
