I just wanted to bring up something that smells like a rat to me. Signals go off in my head when I see everyone going to one side of the line especially when it is +8.0.

Ok. St. did well late last year and Nebr. finished 7-7 so a lot of people are going for Ok. St. in this game. However, Nebr. is at home and has to prove itself for having such a dismal season. Can they pull it off?

OK. Now I'm starting to see how these books work. They get a good impression of how the public likes a team (Ok. State) while the book believes the other team will win (Nebr.). So the book gives +7.5 points or more to the public team so the public will jump on it. When the better team wins by more than the points the books clean up.

Sorry for stating the obvious here but I'm relatively new at this so this helps me remember things like this in the future.

thanks atx. will start a new thread for my picks this week. just patting myself on the back. lol. i am traveling to watch this one. have to go with the sooners. bama is a good team and tough at home. they almost let sflorida sneak up on them. had to pull everything out in the second half. ou was very vanilla. didn't show much. ou really got a good look at bama. have to give the points here if i were to play, but will probaly fade this one.
