I understand why flacco and john H didn't get rookie of the year and coach of the year..................but why didn't they get ANY FUCKING VOTES???????????????????????????????? I am just saying the NFL hates the ravens and they are praying the ravens don't make it any further in the playoffs

Dirtydog pretty much laid out the facts in his post.
The Ravens players and coaches are having a good year,
but others deserved the awards over them.

Ed Reed has been the most dominant player in this league for 3 years (4 out of 5). Not since possibly Marshall Faulk and Jerry Rice have we seen someone dominate a position like he has.

Kind of like Ray Lewis in his hay day!

Quite possibly the most absurd thing ever posted on this forum. Reed is tremendous when the ball is in the air, a great ball hawker.

Polamalu does things that Reed can only dream about.

LMFAO I can tell you are a steelers fan..........Polamalu is an awesome player but he can't even hold Reed's jock strap.........Reed has been playing only 1 year longer than Polamalu and Reeds stats are just off the charts

Reed has 43 career INTS total tds 12
Troy has 17 career INTS total tds 3

Troy wants to grow up to be like Reed............:nohead::nohead::nohead:

go back to steeltown

Was it the avatar that gave it away?

How many tackles does Reed have? Just off the top of my head I would say one more than that poseur Deion had in his career.

Thought you could handle a little jab, but I guess not.

Polamalu has more career tackles, sacks, forced fumbles, etc and has been playing 1 year less.

Anyone that knows anything about football would pick Polamalu over Reed. Any safety can play center field and pick off balls against C- talent QBs who are playing catch-up.

LOL, you are such a tool, kid.

Please don't take this the wrong way my friend, but apparently you are amongst the Baltimore "homer" FANS that feel this way as well...

What is truly "pathetic" is that instead of looking at the statistics and making a HANDICAPPING decision based on SUBSTANCE "homers" tend to toss all of the analytical proof aside go with their heart instead, this kind of "handicapping" will quickly empty out your pocket...

...below I am re-posting the data for this season that I posted earlier on Ed Reed for your viewing pleasure, please read everything over and I am quite sure that if you were to make a completely UNBIASED accessement you would agree that there is no way in hell that Ed Reed should of even been considered as a possible MVP...
_____________________________________________________________

As far as Ed Reed goes, he is one hell of a player and there is no doubt about that, however, a simple review of his statistics shows that HE WAS NOT WORTHY of contention for the MVP award...

Reed had a total of 41 tackles during the 2008 regular season with 9 interceptions with 1 sack and along the way scored two TD's...

However, there were 4 other DB's in the NFL that had 7 interceptions (Nick Collins from GB, Michael Griffin from Tenn, Troy Polamalu from Pitts, and Charles Woodson from GB)...

...Reed only had 2 more picks that this grouping which is not exactly separating himself from the competition.

...EACH and EVERY ONE of the above mentioned players (Collins, Griffin, Polamalu, and Woodson) had wayyyyyyy more tackles on the season than Reed, as a matter of fact Nick Collins had 72 tackles which is 31 more than Reed, Griffin had 75 tackles which is 34 more than Reed, and Polamalu had 73 tackles which is 32 more tackles than Reed had...

Obviously from the stats listed it doesn't take a brain surgeon to see that Reed only had 2 more picks that his four closest competitors, however, Reed had wayyyyy less tackles on the season...

...meaning that Reed spends his time ball hawking instead of being a complete DB and providing run support for his team as the other four players listed do for their teams...Reed is no more a league MVP than you or I when compared to others in the same capacity.

Hey dumb ass did you forget the most important stat..........I noticed you left out..............INT's and TD's ..........hmmm I think that is the most important statistic.........

Reed has 43 career INTS total tds 12
Troy has 17 career INTS total tds 3

I'll take Reeds INTs and TD over fricking tackles, sacks and by the way the forced fumbles are tied you dumb ass..........and by the way when do you graduate from middle school?
