Journey, here are my thoughts. Go meet her. Spend a day with her. It is just a date. So what if you have to drive? Not much different than a date locally. Go out to eat and go sit in the park or whatever and spend a bit of time with her. No biggie.

I believe you have a huge huge fear of commitment. You don't want to be tied down in a relationship. I would tell her this on the date.

Go meet her and explain that this is just a date and nothing more. If you are afraid of commitent with her, don't have sex, for God's sake. Sex to a woman in many cases means commitment....it's how they are wired. You already knew that, but hey....

Don't make a big deal out of this. Go, have fun, and see if she is the one for you. It is absolutely normal to be nervous about this. It would be absolutely normal to be nervous even if you didn't have to drive. You just have a worry that by going out of your way you are expressing to her a desire for much larger things. Tell her that you want to just go on a date and nothing more.

I DO HAVE FEAR OF COMMITMENT...TULSA YOU MAKE A LOT OF SENSE...THE THING IS THIS ISN'T JUST A DATE, TOO MUCH IS EXPECTED NOW AND THAT IS WHAT WORRIES ME...PLUS I HAVE A REALLY CLOSE GIRL/FRIEND HERE THAT IS MAKING IT MORE COMPLICATED...

I'm saying this again, though. I've calmed down and am no longer laughing. If you aren't married everything is a date. Just go meet her and enjoy.
