Chicago manager Ozzie Guillen said he told 44-year-old Vizquel if he keeps playing the way he has for the White Sox he could go another three years in the majors. Vizquel was batting .271 before starting at third base Friday night and the 11-time Gold Glove winner is still a slick fielder, making a couple of nice plays

At 44, it looks like Vizquel’s stellar career is entering the final month.
Not only has he lost another step on defense this year, Vizquel is batting just .154 (4-for-26) over his last 11 games.
If he is back in a White Sox uniform in spring training, it’ll be as a coach.

Chicago White Sox infielder Omar Vizquel attended Ozzie Guillen's farewell news conference Monday night but stopped short of saying he was destined to join him in Miami.
"Not really," Vizquel said Tuesday. "I think everybody’s got their own agendas. If it is Miami, it’d be great, I can never put an ‘X’ on that possibility, but it’s not maybe the road I would like to go. It just depends what’s happening, what’s going to happen here in the off-season. Obviously I do want to play some more, and if I could have a chance to stay in Chicago, that’d be great."
